LITURGY WORSHIP
PERPETUAL ADORATION UPDATE….We are in need of
Adorers for the following hours: Thursdays 1:00-2:00am and
Fridays 4:00-5:00 pm. Please call Agnes at the Parish Center, 410848-4744 if you can fill these hours.
THE LIGHT IS ON FOR YOU...Wednesday , March 21
Our parish is participating in an Archdiocesan-wide reconciliation program
initiated by Cardinal O’Brien called “The Light is On for You.” On
Wednesdays in Lent—March 21 and 28 the Sacrament of Reconciliation
will be offered here at St. John from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Catholic parishes in the
Archdiocese of Baltimore will also have confessions available on these
Wednesdays and we invite you to join us here for this sacrament. If you have
been reluctant to come to the sacrament or have been away for some time or
just found it difficult to get to regularly scheduled times for confession, this is
a great opportunity to receive penance. To remind you about the parts of
confession and the Act of Contrition, take a brochure in the narthex of the
church to guide you through this renewing sacrament. Please join us—
The Light is On for You!
STATIONS OF THE CROSS...Friday, March 23
Each Friday we will have Adoration, Benediction and Vespers
beginning at 6:30 p.m. Stations of the Cross will be held in the
Church at 2:00 p.m. (children’s format) and 7:00 p.m.
WE PRAY …
WE ASK YOUR PRAYERS for all who are homebound or in
nursing homes and for all the sick, especially Mary Ellen Langan,
Brian Miller, Mildred Sweeney, Walter Sweeney, Carol Wallace,
Dawn Tabb, Sayler Heilman and Joseph Aversa.
PLEASE NOTE: If you would like to have the name of a sick or
hospitalized loved one included in the intercessions at Sunday
Mass, please call the Parish Center. The person making the
request must be either the sick person himself/herself, or a
member of that person’s immediate family. The person’s name
will be announced for two consecutive weeks, unless a
subsequent request is made to keep the person on the list for an
additional two weeks or longer.
WE PRAY FOR THE REPOSE of Jack Galton.
The “Crossing the Goal Team” members will be the speakers
at the conference. They include former NFL All-Pro receiver
Danny Abramowicz and the Fellowship of Catholic University
Students (FOCUS) founder, Curtis Martin. They are often seen
on EWTN.

addition to pornography. This is a major problem in our society
at the present time.
