As you consider your pledge to the 2016 Bishop’s Annual
Appeal, it is important to know that the Partners in Faith
campaign conducted in 2013 and the Bishop’s Annual Appeal
are different drives serving different needs. The Partners in
Faith campaign raised funds for ministries outside the
Diocese’s general operating funds and included some
endowments with an eye toward future needs. The Bishop’s
Annual Appeal, on the other hand, helps fund immediate,
day-to-day operations of four important ministries and
programs: Catholic Charities, seminarian education, our
diocesan priests’ retirement residence and our inner-city
schools. With this in mind, please be as generous as possible
to this year’s Bishop’s Annual Appeal. If you have received
the Bishop’s letter, please prayerfully respond today.

RESPONZÓRIOVÝ ŽALM
Chváľte Pána, lebo dvíha chudobných.
Počas Svätého Roku milosrdenstva sa v našom kostole budeme
modliť Korunku Božieho milosrdenstva v čase vyloženia Prevelebnej
sviatosti oltárnej každú prvú nedeľu v mesiaci. Najbližšia adorácia a
modlitby budú 2. októbra o 3.00 hodine popoludní. Všetci ste vítaní.
Festival slovenského dedičstva bude v nedeľu 2. októbra v Mercer
County Parku vo West Windsor, N.J. ned’aleko exitu 8 na NJ
Turnpike. V kultúrnom programe sa predstaví tanečný súbor
Limbora z New Yorku, speváčka Katarína Knechtová zo Slovenska so
svojou skupinou a predstavia sa aj detské folklórne súbory. Na
programe je futbalový turnaj. Na predaj budú tradičné slovenské
jedlá a budú otvorené stánky s výrobkami dovezenými zo Slovenska.
Park bude otvorený o 10.00 hodine. Katolícka svätá omša bude o
11.00 hod. a o 2.00 hodine začne kultúrny program a prehliadka
krojov. Vstupné je $10.00 za osobu. Deti do 15 rokov majú vstup
bezplatný.
162. zbor Slovenského katolíckeho sokola oslávi svoju storočnicu v
nedeľu 16. októbra po slovenskej svätej omši v Royal Manor v
Garfield. Cena vstupeniek: $40.00 za dospelých a $23.00 za deti vo

Están abiertas las registraciones para aquellos adultos que
desean hacer su sacramento de Bautismo, Primera Comunión
o Confirmación. Por favor pasar por la oficina parroquial.

recibido. Las clases comienzan el domingo, 2 de octubre a
las 10:30 AM.
Silver & Gold Wedding Anniversary Mass
Couples, were you married in 1966 or 1991? You are
warmly invited to celebrate your 25th or 50th Wedding
Anniversary with the Church of Paterson. Bishop Serratelli
will be the main celebrant at Mass at St. Peter the Apostle
Church, Parsippany on Sunday, November 6th at 4:00pm.
Arrangements can be made by contacting the parish
office. Registrations will be accepted through Monday,
October 24th. Information will be sent from the Office of
Family Life once your registration has been processed.

Memorial Candle
Misa de Aniversario de Bodas de Plata & Oro
Parejas, ¿Contrajeron matrimonio en 1966 o 1991? Están
cordialmente invitados a celebrar su 25 o 50 Aniversario de
Bodas con la Iglesia de Paterson. El Obispo Serratelli será el
celebrante principal de la misa en la Iglesia de St. Peter the
Apostle, en Parsippany el Domingo, 6 de Noviembre a las
4:00pm. Los preparativos pueden realizarse contactándose a
la oficina parroquial. Los formularios para registrarse
estarán disponibles hasta el Lunes, 24 de Octubre. La Oficina
de Vida Familiar le enviara información una vez que su
registración haya sido procesada. ¡Muchas felicidades en este

It’s now time to have a memorial candle made in
memory of a loved one or to renew it. The new
candle fee is $75.00. The renewal fee is $50.00.
Forms are in the church & office. Bring/mail it to
the parish office. Pay fee with cash or check.
Special Collection
At this time we are asking each family to make a sacrifice and
donate $100 to help with church repairs. The special
collection envelopes & Pastor’s letter are available on the
tables in the back of the church. Thank you to those who
