chapter 8, He had already told the same to the
religious leaders of His day… when He said: If ye
continue in My word… then are ye My disciples
indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth
shall make you free. But the religious hypocrites
wanted to argue with Him, and took up stones to
kill Him)

dijo... ya era hora de que se vaya. En el capítulo
8, les había dicho lo mismo a los líderes
religiosos de su día... cuando dijo: Si vosotros
continuan en mi palabra... Entonces sois mis

you placed your trust and confidence in God;
trust Me also with all that I tell you)

coloca su confianza y amistad en Dios, confía en
Mí también con todo lo que te digo)
In my Father's house (…this Greek phrase
is: en te oikia ton Patros mou…more literally:
in the house of the Father of me. In John’s
gospel… of the 126 times this word for Father is
used, 118 times it is Jesus talking about His
Father; a real Father… who really lives in
heaven)

palabra para Padre es utiliza, 118 veces Jesús

realmente vive en el cielo)

not talking about that brick and stone building in
Jerusalem. The last time He was there… He
disowned that place… and said, to those religious
hard heads… Your house—not his Father’s
house… is left to you a waste.

está hablando de ese edificio de ladrillo y piedra
de Jerusalén. La última vez que estuvo allí... Él
repudió ese lugar... y dijo a los cabezas duras

In my Father’s house (…and I bet it’s a place
where they are merry; and make merry, and be
glad. It bet it’s the happiest place in the whole

You know, Jesus likes His Father, a lot! Where
on earth did we ever get the idea that His
Father… was mean? Obviously, from someone
who is powerful enough to twist the scripture. It is
interesting to note: NEVER once… do we read
that Jesus is afraid of His Father. Rather, Jesus
greatly loves His Father… and wants us to love
His Father… who is our Father, too. And Jesus,
the night He is betrayed, is going to tell us about
where His Father lives)

‘mansions’ (…actually, that’s not the best
translation. The word is: mone… it is a noun…
used twice in scripture—only in this chapter. The
word means: a place to live; a place to call
home—and I bet in heaven, there aren’t any
slums! Every place has a spectacular room with
a view. Jesus is using earthly terms to describe
the heavenly reality. But they already grew up
learning from prophet Isaiah…No eye has seen;
no ear has heard; neither has it entered into
the heart or imagination of man… all that
God has prepared for those who love Him!)

hay (...en realidad, no es la mejor traducción. La
palabra es: mone... es un sustantivo... utilizado
dos veces en la Escrituras—sólo en el presente
capítulo. La palabra significa: un lugar para vivir;

cielo, no hay ningún tugurios! Cada lugar tiene
una habitación con una vista espectacular. Jesús
está utilizando términos terrenales para describir
la realidad celestial. Pero ellos crecieron
aprendizaje del profeta Isaías. Nunca nadie oyó,
nunca oídos percibieron ni ojo vieron a un
Dios fuera de ti, que hiciera algo por aquel
que en Él aman!)

And whatsoever ye shall ask ‘in My
name’ (…that we ask, representing Me. This
verse repeated 7 times in the following
chapters… is not: whatever we ask…
representing our desires. The disciples grew up
knowing: Psalm 37. I bet they could sing from
memory verses 1-7… with all its action words…
starting with: fret not, trust in the Lord, and
do good; delight thyself in the Lord; and He
shall give thee… the desires; commit thy
way unto the Lord; trust also in Him; rest in
the Lord, and wait patiently for Him.
Todo lo que pidáis al Padre ‘en mi
nombre’ (...que le pedimos, que representa a mí.
Este verso repetido 7 veces en los capítulos
siguientes... no es: a cualquiera que pedimos... que
representan nuestros deseos. Los discípulos
crecieron sabiendo: Salmo 37. Yo apuesto que
podrían cantar de la memoria los versos 1-7 con
todas sus palabras de acción... comienzan: No
temas, confía en el Señor y haz el bien;
deléitate asimismo en el Señor; y Él te dará...
los deseos; Encomienda al Señor tu camino;
también confía en Él; descansar en el Señor y
espera en Él.

building… including our daily picking up our
cross and dying to our selfish needs.
Paul wrote of the last days: Perilous times are

self, rather than lovers of God)

Si así no fuera, Yo os lo hubiera dicho.
Obviously, many people wonder why their
prayers go answered. Many wonder why God
the Father is silent… so often. Well, the answer
is simple: because He is! He doesn’t need to
show off. And He won’t violate His word… no
matter how wonderful we may think we are. As
Dr. Dallas Willard said, the Eternal God, our
Father is powerful. And if His power is anything
like electricity… then He is also dangerous…
and we had better learn how to approach Him
correctly)
Obviamente, muchos gente se pregunta por qué
van sus oraciones contestadas. Muchos preguntan
por qué Dios el padre es silencioso... tan a
menudo. Bueno, la respuesta es sencilla: porque él
es! No necesita lucir. Y Él no viola su palabra, no
importa cuán maravilloso podemos pensar que
somos. Como dijo Dr. Dallas Willard, el eterno
Dios, nuestro Padre es poderoso. Y si su poder es
