Which Way, Austin? Imagine Austin Community Forums
By Samantha Park, City of Austin
Traducción de: Carolina Modesto
Help plan our city’s future. The City of Austin is creating a new comprehensive plan, looking ahead to 30
years of growth and change. In a fall series of workshops, September 20-October 6, the City of Austin is
asking the community to help shape a Preferred Scenario for Future Growth. Voice your concerns for how
jobs, housing, development and open space should fit
together. Everyone’s ideas are welcome.
Your responses on a survey, which will remain open
through October, will inform the plan. Forum Activities include taking a survey, views displays and maps,
contrast the four imagined scenarios with the growth
trend we’re on now and talk with planners, city staff,
and community task force members. Can’t attend a
forum in person? You can read, review and comment
on everything online at www.ImagineAustin.net, or
review documents at an Austin Public Library.
Some of the conversations the City of Austin wants to
have are:
How can we invest in smart, sustainable ways?
What investments best support our Vision Statement?
Where should more people live? Work? Play?
Which scenario will be best for our grandkids?
October Forum Dates:
Oct. 4 5-8 p.m. Bowie High School, 4103 W. Slaughter Ln.
Oct. 5 5-8 p.m. Dell Jewish Community Center, 7300 Hart Ln.
Oct. 6 5-8 p.m. Reagan High School, 7104 Berkman Dr.
October 2010 Noticias

Important Factors that Affect Your Credit Score
Factores importantes que Afectan su Puntaje Crediticio
In the last newsletter of GAHCC Noticias, we mentioned that 65% of
your credit score is made from your level of debt and your payment
history. The third factor is your credit history. The longer you have an
account open the more credible you are, therefore the higher your
score will be. The fourth and fifth factor are the number of inquiries
for new credit (10%) and the diversification of your credit (10%). These
are where the majority of us mistakenly do not apply for a refinance
or a consolidation of revolving accounts because of the fallacy that
“it significantly lowers your credit score”. If you do not have a fixed
simple interest account, your score will actually improve when you
consolidate because now you have more diversification of credit in
use. At the same time you are lowering the level of debt in your old
accounts, you could also have a better interest rate. Therefore, your
gains are much greater over time. The most important thing is that
you have a plan to become completely debt free.
Si usted no
