Dear Friends in Christ,
In the short time God has given me with you, since I do not know how much time that will be, I probably need to set some priorities. I plan to do five things while I am here at Saint Mary’s, listed below in
no particular order.
Working with you, I want to make our parish nursing program stronger.
I want to strengthen our maintenance program so that our facilities can continue to support all our great ministries.
With your help, I want to repay the money we borrowed from the Catholic people of Idaho to build our new church. Catholic parishioners - from Marsing to Mud Lake, Preston to Bonners Ferry - lent us that money so we could have new facilities. It is now
time to return the money to them.
God has blessed us with the valley’s premier parish-based food bank. We must continue to access the resources necessary to
bring this form of Christ’s love to those who desperately need it.
Finally, I would like to make Saint Mary’s Catholic School the model Catholic school for all parishes to follow in the Treasure Valley.
Fr. Johnny

11TH ANNUAL UNDIE
SUNDAY COLLECTION
FOR CORPUS CHRISTI
HOUSE IS NOV. 14 & 15.
For the last 10 years, St.
Mary’s has filled one of the greatest needs of the guests at
Corpus Christi House – underclothing for the homeless in our
community. Numerous 30-gallon bags of long underwear,
warm socks, hats, gloves, t-shirts and briefs have been collected for our brothers and sisters. Some items are earmarked
for Christmas gifts, often the only gift a guest may receive.
Receptacles are in the narthex for your donations. Please join
in our pre-Thanksgiving collection to help those in need this
year.
