SUNDAY BREAKFAST
Come join us for breakfast after mass each Sunday at
the church hall. Breakfast is served after the 8 and 10
am masses. A delicious Mexican home style breakfast
of eggs, chorizo, guizo, potatoes and beans and of
course homemade tortillas. This Sunday’s breakfast is
being served by The Apostolado.
ADULT FELLOWSHIP GROUP
We’d like to get to know you! Join us every Thursday at the church hall for fellowship, activities, refreshments and fun! We meet from 10 am to 1:30

AMERICA NEEDS FATIMA
The goal of America Needs Fatima is to win the heart and soul of
America for Mary by spreading
Our Lady's Fatima message and
promoting devotion to Her Immaculate Heart. Sacred Heart
joins Americans across the
country in a Rosary Rally on
Saturday, October 15th at 12
noon on the church grounds
(weather permitting). This is a coordinated nation-wide
rosary
event that will begin at exactly 12 pm, please arrive
15-20 minutes early so that we will be ready to begin
on time. We encourage everyone to participate.

CHARRO DAY FIESTA
This Sunday, October 2nd we celebrate our annual
Charro Day Fiesta beginning with the 10 am Mass.
All past Charro Day Kings and Queens and Padrinos will participate in the entrance procession
for the 10 o’clock mass.
A grand festival will be held on
the church grounds starting at 12
pm until 9 pm. There will be a
variety of delicious Mexican and
American foods. Music and entertainment is line up throughout
the afternoon and evening for
your enjoyment.
We would like to make this the best and most festive
event of the year, and so we invite all Charro Day
participants, volunteers as well as all who attend,
to dress in Charro or “Fiesta” style.
Tickets for the Charro Day $5,000.00 Raffle will
continue to be available. THE PERSON SELLING THE
MOST RAFFLE TICKETS WILL RECEIVE A $50.00
GIFT CARD! WE REMIND ALL families to turn in
their raffle tickets by noon this Sunday. Tickets are
$1 each or 6 for $5. Families may buy all of their
tickets for $35 or sell the tickets.
The Charro Day Fiesta is always so much fun!
Invite your friends and neighbors to join you and
plan to stay awhile. BE SURE TO BRING YOUR OWN
LAWN CHAIRS so you will have a comfortable place
to sit to enjoy all of the entertainment!

Blessed Mother! Join Fr. Uche Obikwelu for a Day of
Reflection centered on the beautiful mercy of Mary. Fr.
Uche, one of our diocesan priests, recently wrote a
book titled, “Mary, the Mediatrix of God’s Grace.” Fr.
Uche will share insights from his book during his talks
and at Mass. Monday, October 3, 2016. The costs for

GOSPEL MEDITATION
Today’s Gospel opens with the disciples requesting
that Jesus increase their faith. For Jesus, faith is a gift
that leads to service and that service is always in support of life! This Sunday we all pray for the flame of
faith and zeal that will give us the courage to stand
with and all whose lives are threatened by violence:
the unborn; the death row prisoner; civilians caught
in wars and conflict. Does our faith help us to see
every life as precious in the eyes of God? In what
areas should we ask God to increase our faith?

Weekday Masses on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are celebrated at 12 p.m. Join us and receive the
Lord in the Eucharist.
Adoration to the Blessed Sacrament is done every
