Todo empezó en 2007, trayendo espectaculares y
brillantes toques de color mediterráneo a las calles de
Valencia y España en general, Pichi y Avo han infundido
un asombroso nivel de detalle figurativo en su labor.
Toques de surrealismo asaltan y golpean al espectador
acercándole mientras le involucra en una radiante
explosión sin barreras, del talento a spray. Creando un
enorme revuelo en su ciudad natal y a punto de salpicar
el resto de Europa les lleva a participar en numerosos
eventos nacionales e internacionales.
Pichi y Avo son uno, huyendo del egocentrismo del
graffiti y se unen para dar a luz una obra individual,
dos visiones similares del mundo son el resultado de
su trabajo.

All has began in 2007,bringing a spectacularly lucid
splash of Mediterannean colour to the streets of Valencia
and wider Spain, Pichi and Avo have infused a stunning
level of figurative detail into their work. Hints of
surrealism leap out and slap the viewer about while
drawing you into a radiant explosion of unrestrained,
spray painted talent.Creating a massive stir in their
hometown and just about to set the rest of Europe
ablaze.
Pichi & Avo are one, fleeing the egocentrism of graffiti
and come together to give birth a single work, two
similar visions of the world are a result of their work

Pichi Avo son capaces de realizar obras de gran calidad
artística en poco tiempo, gracias a su unión; dos mentes,
4 ojos y 4 manos para pintar un trabajo algo que es
raro en el mundo del arte. Eso les hace especiales. Sus
habilidades e inspiraciones se mezclan dando una sola
obra, ideal para la pintura en vivo en eventos de
cualquier tipo, ya que son capaces de pintar con aerosol
y pincel al mismo tiempo...
Pichi Avo are able to perform works of high artistic
quality in a short time, thanks to their union, 2 minds,
4 eyes and 4 hands painting one work something that
is rare in the art world.That makes them special. Their
skills and inspirations are mixing up giving a single
work, ideal for live painting at events of any kind as
they are capable to paint with spray and brush simultaneously...
El ejemplo perfecto de esta combinación artística fue
Artbattles, una competición contra artistas de los
Estados Unidos, pintando sobre lienzo y mezclando
técnicas como aerosol, acrílicos y otros materiales.
Este tipo de "batallas" eran rondas de 45 minutos y
terminó con la victoria española...
The perfect example of this artistic combination was
Artbattles, a competition against artists from United
States, painting on canvas, mixing up techniques,sprays
acrylic and other materials. These rare "battles" were
rounds of 45 minutes and ended up winning...
también realizan pintura en directo en diferentes
formatos y soportes, de paredes a paneles de madera.
Aun que su inspiración no se detiene ahi. Con la libertad
de expresarse son capaces de decorar varios formatos
como los coches u otros objetos.
They do also live paintings in different formats/
supports, from walls to wood panels.Although their
inspiration doesn´t stop there. Free to exprees themselves they are capable of decorating various formats
like cars or other objects.
“The special ones”es un estilo de PichiAvo y va más allá del significado del
graffiti y sus dimensiones. Dejando atrás
los soportes tradicionales, están utilizando objetos clásicos que están relacionados con la vida diaria en humanos, haciendo formarlos parte del arte.
Esta forma de pensar que ya se aplica
en muchas de sus obras, por ejemplo su
trabajo para la famosa marca QUIKSILVER y su evento "let it snow". Para este
proyecto usaban camisetas de esta marca
con el fin de crear un soporte y pintar
sobre ellas, como se puede ver en estas
fotos, y como resultado de la creación
un photocall muy original apropiado para
la marca.
Otro ejemplo de esta técnica, fue un
proyecto con piezas de cerámica, (algunas de ellas eran nuevas y otras recicladas). Esta idea nació en 2007 y se llevó
a cabo en 2010 durante la "Semana de
la cerámica" en Manises, una ciudad con
mucha tradición en cerámica. PichiAvo
innovó usando aerosoles y piezas de
cerámica sobre una pared haciendo un
show en vivo, creando una fusión de arte
moderno y tradicional.
“The special ones” is a kind of style that
is represented by PichiAvo and it goes
beyond the meaning of graffiti and its
dimensions.Leaving behind the traditional supports, they are using classic
objects which are connected with the
daily human life,making them part of
art.
This way of thinking is already applied
in many of their Works , for instance
their work for the famous label QUIKSILVER and its event “let it snow”. For
this `Project they used T shirts with this
label in order to create a support and
paint over them, like you can see in these
photos, and creating as a result a very
original photocall appropriate for the
Party.
Some other samples of this technique,
was a Project with ceramic pieces, (some
of them were recycled ones). This idea
was born in 2007 and was carried out in
2010 during the “Ceramic Week” in
Manises, a city with a lot of tradition in
ceramic. Pichi&avo innovated using
sprays and ceramic pieces over a wall
doing a live show, provocating a fusión
of modern and traditional art.
