Our School’s Mission: Recognizing each child as a unique image of God, the student is the
focus of Prince of Peace School/Escuela Principe de Paz. In a nurturing environment of mutual respect we nourish the mind, body, heart and soul through worship, service and academics.

Announcements

Parking: Please watch the signs. Do not park in No Parking areas for any length of time. Remember that
vehicles must not be parked in front of fire hydrants for any length of time. Cars parked in these areas
may be ticketed.

Recess: All students enjoy recess time every day. It is important that your child is dressed appropriately
for the weather so recess is an enjoyable time. The weather during the season of fall in Wisconsin can
be warm one day, and cold the next. Please check the weather report every day to ensure that your
child is prepared to go out to recess.

Alert/Now School Closings: At Prince of Peace School, we are constantly looking for ways to improve
communication between the home and school. In order to keep you better informed, we have an automated calling service called Alert Now. When we have information you need to know or on days when
we have to close school, the system will call you with a message. It is also a good idea to watch the
news or listen to the radio in the morning to find out if school has been closed for the day. If Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) are closed due to weather, Prince of Peace School will also be closed.

Accept, O Lord, our thanks and praise for all that you have done for us.
We thank you for the splendor of the whole creation, for the beauty of
this world, for the wonder of life, and for the mystery of love.
We thank you for the blessing of family and friends, and for the loving
care which surrounds us on every side.
We thank you for setting us at tasks which demand our best efforts, and for leading us to
accomplishments which satisfy and delight us.
We thank you also for those disappointments and failures that lead us to
acknowledge our dependence on you alone.
Above all, we thank you for your son Jesus Christ; for the truth of his
Word and the example of his life; for his steadfast obedience, by which
he overcame temptation; for his dying, through which he overcame
death; for his rising to life again, in which we are raised to the life of
your kingdom.
Grant us the gift of your Spirit that we may know him and make him
known; and through him, at all times and in all places, may give thanks
to you in all things.

Estacionamiento: Por favor, ver las señales. No se estacione en áreas prohibidas. Recuerde que los vehículos no deben ser estacionados delante de las tomas de agua para incendios en ningún momento. Todo
auto estacionado en estas áreas será multado.

Recreo: Todos los estudiantes disfrutan de la hora del recreo todos los días. Es importante que su hijo
este vestido apropiadamente para el clima, así el recreo será un tiempo agradable. El clima durante la
temporada del otoño en Wisconsin puede ser caliente un día, y frío el siguiente día. Por favor, consulte el
reporte del tiempo todos los días para asegurarse de que su hijo está preparado para salir al recreo.

Alerta/Ahora Cierre de Clases! La Escuela Príncipe de Paz, está constantemente buscando maneras de
mejorar la comunicación entre el hogar y la escuela. Con el fin de mantenerle mejor informado, hemos
establecido un servicio de llamadas automatizado llamado Alerta Ahora. Cuando tenemos información
que usted necesita saber o en los días en que tenemos que cerrar la escuela, el sistema le llamará con un
mensaje. También es una buena idea ver las noticias o escuchar la radio por la mañana para averiguar si
ese día la escuela ha sido cerrada. Si las Escuelas Públicas de Milwaukee (MPS) se cierran debido al mal
clima, la escuela Príncipe de Paz también estará cerrada.

Acepta, Señor, nuestra gratitud y alabanza por todo lo que has hecho por nosotros.
Te damos gracias por el esplendor de la creación entera, por la belleza de
este mundo, por el milagro de la vida, y por el misterio del amor.
Te damos gracias por la bendición de la familia y amigos, y por el tierno
cuidado que en todo momento nos rodea.
Te damos las gracias por que nos das tareas que requieren nuestros mejores esfuerzos, y porque nos
guías hacia logros que nos satisfacen y deleitan.
Te damos las gracias también por esas desilusiones y fracasos que nos enseñan a
reconocer que dependemos solo de ti.
Sobre todo, te damos gracias por tu Hijo Jesucristo; por la verdad de su
Palabra y el ejemplo de su vida; por su fiel obediencia, con la cual
venció a la tentación; por su muerte, con la que venció a la
muerte; y por su resurrección, en la que somos resucitados a la vida de
tu reino.
Concédenos el don de tu Espíritu que lo conozcamos y lo
manifestemos; y que por medio de él, te demos gracias en todo momento
y en todo lugar, y en todas las cosas.
