What’s Happening…
Ask Your Child...
"
-So, this Friday, kids may bring 3 TOYS TO SCHOOL.
"

-What is 10+10+10?
"
-Draw a trapezoid.
"

"
-We have earned another celebration. We have had 10
days where the students have more points than me. That
means they were working as a team to follow directions
and make smart choices. They voted on BRINGING 3
TOYS TO SCHOOL as their reward.
-Our Valentine’s Day party was a hit!! Thank you so much
to those who come in to help with these crazy parties :)
-Family Art Night this Thursday, Feb. 18th 5:30-6:30. It’s
free! You get to take art home! Make some cool stuff!

-In about 12 school days will be celebrating our 100th
day of school. If there is something your child wants to
bring 100 of on that day, that would be great! This is
OPTIONAL. Putting this out early to give plenty of time if
you want to do this :)
-Count by 10’s to 120.
-Draw a hexagon (two trapezoids put
together)
-Tell the characters, setting, and plot in the
book you are reading. If it is nonfiction, tell
the main idea and 3 details of your book.

-Spell: bite, kite, quite, tight, fight, sight.

-You all are still doing so awesome on your take home
readers. You should be starting to notice them coming
back with stickers on them!!
-Phonics focus:
long i sound (i_e and igh) as in night, tight, bite, kite.

-Writing:
We are wrapping up our unit on “How To” informational
writing and will be starting “All About” informational
writing trying to use facts to tell all about a topic. I had
the students write “How to make your teacher happy” It
was interesting what they thought. If you want, you
could have them write how to make their parents happy!!
-Tell or write 3 math equations that equal
the number 12.
-Test your child on their doubles by
speaking or writing: 1+1, 2+2, 3+3 all the way
to 11!!!

-Math:
Place value: building numbers, comparing, adding multiples
of 10’s, adding 2 digit plus 2 digit numbers!
"
-Remember “Clothes for a Cause” fundraiser for our
school. If you have any unwanted clothes, shoes,
towels, stuffed animals, hats, sheets, blankets, quilts,
bedspreads, purses, belts, you can drop them off in
the front office! This is tax deductible too.

Que está pasando…
-Hemos Ganado otra celebración. Hemos tenido 10 días, donde
los estudiantes tienen más puntos que yo. Eso significa que
estaban trabajando en equipo para seguir instrucciones y tomar
decisiones inteligentes. Votaron en traer 3 juguetes a la escuela
como su recompensa.

-Entonces, Este viernes, los niños pueden traer juguetes a la
escuela 3.

-Nuestro partido del día de San Valentín fue un éxito !! Gracias
tanto a los que vienen a ayudar con estas fiestas locas :)
"-Familia Noche de Arte este jueves 18, de febrero 5: 30-6: 30.
¡Es gratis! Tienes la oportunidad de llevarse a casa el arte! Hacer
un poco de materia fresca!

-En Unos 12 días escolares será la celebración de nuestro 100

día, eso sería genial! Esto es opcional. Poner esto antes de
tiempo para dar un montón de tiempo si usted quiere hacer

lectores que lleva a casa. Usted debe comenzar a notar que
regresen con pegatinas en ellos !!

Estamos terminando nuestra unidad en "How To" escrito
informativo y a comenzar "Todo sobre la" escritura de
información tratando de utilizar los hechos para contar todo
acerca de un tema. Tenía los estudiantes que escriban "Cómo
hacer que su maestro feliz" Fue muy interesante lo que
pensaban. Si lo desea, podría hacer que escriban cómo hacer
felices a sus padres !!

-Dibuja Un trapezoide.

-Dígale Los personajes, el ambiente y la
trama en el libro que está leyendo. Si se
trata de no ficción, contar la idea principal y
3 detalles de su libro.

El hechizo: mordedura, cometa, bastante,
apretada, lucha, a la vista.

-Dile O escribir ecuaciones matemáticas
que son iguales a 3 el número 12.

-Prueba A su hijo en sus dobles al hablar o
escribir a: 1 + 1, 2 + 2, 3 + 3 hasta el final a
11 !!!
"-Mates:
Lugar de valor: número de edificio, la comparación, la adición
de múltiplos de 10, la adición de 2 dígitos más números de 2
dígitos!
"-Recuerde "Ropa para una causa" para recaudar fondos para
nuestra escuela. Si tiene alguna deseados ropa, zapatos, toallas,
peluches, gorros, sábanas, mantas, edredones, colchas, bolsos,
cinturones, puede dejarlos en la oficina! Esta es deducible de
impuestos también.
