Congratulations to all our Accelerated Reader Model
and Master Educators and Classrooms!
Teachers and students at Our Lady of the Lakes have been enthusiastically dedicated to reading.
Under the leadership and encouragement of our Model and Master educators, ten classrooms have
earned the Renaissance Learning’s Accelerated Reader Model Classroom Certification and five
classrooms have earned the Master Classroom Certification.
To earn the Model Classroom certification students must meet the following criteria during a 12
week period:
-Engaged reading for an average of at least 20 minutes a day
-Ninety percent of the students in the class must pass their
Accelerated Reader quizzes with an average percent of 85%
-Eighty percent of the students must have read books
independently.
To earn the Master Classroom Certification students must meet the following criteria during an
18 week period:
-Engaged reading for an average of at least 25 minutes a day.
-Ninety percent of the students in the class must pass their
Accelerated Reader quizzes with an average percent of 90%
-Eighty percent of the students must have read books
independently.

Donations Accepted
We are accepting monetary donations to our Festival food and grade booths. This will help
cover the costs of food and supplies needed for each booth. Donate to your favorite booth or the
to General Festival fund. Donations can be made through our website, or can be dropped off at
the school’s main office or church rectory.
We are in need of Wine, Gouda Cheese, Manchego Cheese, Baguettes, Saltines and Olives for
the Tapas booth.
Candy donations are also needed. Please send in individually wrapped Starbusts,
5lbs bags of Sour Gummy Bears, Plain M&M, Sour Patches and Skittles. Thank you for helping
us sweeten up our festival!

It’s time to clean out your cupboards of all
unmatched sets and unwanted glassware…
We ask all parents, parishioners, volunteers, teachers and administration to ask around
and collect as much as they can for this year’s Our Lady of the Lakes Dime Toss Booth at
the festival. The children look forward to this game booth every year and we strive to
make it a success. Please help out with your donations.

The Vocation Blessing Cup is a wonderful instrument of
prayer and devotion for our parish families. The Cup reminds
each host family that it is their responsibility to pray for and
foster vocations to the priesthood and religious life. A family
is asked to host the Vocation Cup for one week. It will travel
from home to home as a sign of our total parish commitment
to praying for vocations.
