MINISTRY TO THE SICK & HOMEBOUND
Call the parish office to make arrangements to administer this
sacrament for one who is sick or homebound or in the hospital.
The Parish Priests visit the sick & homebound and administer
the Holy Eucharist, the Sacrament of Reconciliation and the
sacrament of the sick on the First Friday of the month.
Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist bring Holy Communion to the sick and homebound on weekends.

Reflexiones del Párroco:
El Profeta Isaías es instruido a consolar a Jerusalén. El predijo la venida de la redención de
Dios a los Israelitas antiguos y su manifestación
en términos de un final inminente al exilio.
El proclamó el adelanto de la redención en términos de
'comodidad' y 'consuelo' como una respuesta directa
a su oración en las lecturas del Domingo anterior. Predicó que la Esperanza de Israel se estaba cumpliendo ante
sus ojos. ¡La salvación de Dios es dramática, inminente e
incluso pasando aquí y ahora!
El impacto del mensaje quizás es mejor explicado (en tér
minos de) cuando alguien viene a decirle a los presos (sin saber cómo) que su sentencia ha sido reducida y
son libres de irse a casa. El Reino de Dios está a punto de
establecerse.
Con ese fin, el uso metafórico es cautivante. “Cada valle
deberá ser rellenado y cada montaña y colina se rebajará”. La lectura termina con una imagen familiar y tierna

Este Domingo se presenta Juan el Bautista. Su mensaje se

La asociación del Bautismo de Juan "con agua" y el Bautismo de Jesús "con el Espíritu Santo" lleva la proclamación del Evangelio a un cierre para este fin de semana.
Algo espectacular ha comenzado a tomar lugar y más
aún está por venir.
APELACIÓN ANUAL DEL ARZOBISPO DEL 2014
Cada año nuestro Arzobispo pide nuestra ayuda para apoyarlo
en operar las oficinas centrales de la Arquidiócesis a fin de coordinar y administrar los recursos de diversas parroquias de la
Arquidiócesis.
El costo de este esfuerzo se distribuye entre parroquias en nuestros tres condados de San Mateo, San Francisco y Marin. Nuestra participación en el costo de este año es de $ 45,500.00.
Hasta la fecha hemos recibido $ 38,772.42 en efectivo, cheques
y tarjetas de crédito y $ 2,105.00 en la forma de promesas que
ascienden a un total de $ 40,877.42 que es el 89.84% de nuestra
meta. Todavía faltan $ 4,622.58.
El Comité de Finanzas de la Parroquia ha recomendad que tomemos una segunda colecta el Primer Domingo de cada mes a
partir de Junio del 2014, para alcanzar esta meta.
Le damos las gracias a todos los que generosamente han contribuido en el pasado y pedimos que por favor se unan a nuestros

PEQUEÑAS COMUNIDADES CRISTIANAS
Han comenzado las reuniones de la Pequeñas Comunidades Cristianas y no es demasiado tarde para unirse a un grupo. Si está interesado por favor llame a Rosa Gómez al 650-589-0998 en la mañana

LIMPIEZA DE LA IGLESIA PARA LA NAVIDAD
Se acerca la Navidad. Nuestra Iglesia necesita una buena limpieza
semestral. ¿Puede y quiere ayudarnos? Nos reunirémos el Sábado
20 de Diciembre después de la misa de 8 am. Escobas, recogedores, trapeadores, paños de limpieza u otros materiales de limpieza
son siempre bienvenidos. Algunos estarán disponibles. El órgano,
los murales, las estatuas, el altar, área bautismal así como las
bancas y por último, pero no de menos necesidad el pisó necesita
una buena limpieza. Lo ha hecho antes, por favor vengan y hagámoslo de nuevo. Gracias.
SIMBANG GABI
La Celebración del Simbang Gabi comenzará el 15 de Diciembre hasta el 23 de Diciembre a las 6pm. Con excepción del
Sábado y el Domingo que se celebrará en la misa de 5:15pm.
Todos están invitados a venir y participar en esta preparación para crecer cada vez más fervientemente esperando el nacimiento de nuestro Señor Jesucristo en nuestras vidas!
