Sanskruti Panchal, Graduated as Civil Engineer and accomplished
Masters in Urban Planning (CEPT University). She has worked on
Landuse, urban planning, climate change, tourism, policy research and
environment. She has been working extensively with Gujarat Government
State Departments. She also holds consultancy firm, where she is
working on projects mainly focusing on research, and implementation.
Previously, she was associated with CEPT as researcher and teaching
associate.

Focus of this course is to understand urban design intervention in Madrid, Spain. Students will obtain insights about design and planning process
followed under best practices of revitalization/conservation of buildings, heritage, and public spaces.
This course will enable students to get firsthand experience on the subject through traveling around city, discussion and interaction with architecture
professional and academicians working on similar projects. Entire course includes lectures, visits and final presentation will be conducted at
Madrid.
Students will follow architectural tour, including the museum´s promenade (Reina Sofia by Jean Nouvel, Caixa Forum by Herzog & De Meuron,
Prado by Rafael Moneo, etc), the office towers and complex (Box Tower by Norman Foster, Repsol Building by Rafael de La-Hoz, BBVA Tower by
Sáenz de Oíza, and many others) and public projects (Madrid Río, Matadero, Castellana, Parque Las tetas de Vallecas, Parque del Retiro)
Students will have opportunity to work at Co-working Spaces as Matadero, Palacio de Cibeles, Escuelas Pías, Google Campus or UPM Library.
