On motion presented by Councilor Divina A. Jacome, duly seconded, all present members of the
Sangguniang Panlungsod approved the following City Resolution on second and final reading.
CITY RESOLUTION NO. 2006-026

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE MAYOR JEJOMAR
C. BINAY TO ENTER INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT
BETWEEN MAKATI CITY AND THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
(DepEd) ON THE ESTABLISHMENT OF BANGKAL HIGH SCHOOL IN
BARANGAY BANGKAL, MAKATI CITY, SUBJECT TO ALL LAWS AND
EXISTING LEGAL RULES AND REGULATIONS.
WHEREAS, DepEd-Makati is in the process of securing recognition for Bangkal High School to
operate independently starting June, 2006 to accommodate graduates of various city elementary
schools;
WHEREAS, one of the requirements for the grant of recognition is a Memorandum of Agreement
between DepEd and the City Government of Makati.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE
SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD OF MAKATI, BY VIRTUE OF THE POWERS VESTED
IN IT BY LAW, IN SESSION ASSEMBLED to authorize the Honorable Mayor Jejomar C. Binay
to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement between Makati City and the Department of Education
(DepED) on the establishment of Bangkal High School in Barangay Bangkal, Makati City, subject to
all laws and existing legal rules and regulations.
Let copy of this Resolution be furnished the City Department of Education (DepEd), Bangkal – High
School and other concerned offices for their information, guidance and reference.
This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its approval.

its regular session held on January 17, 2006.
