IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS:
When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed,

handle.
13. Do not clean container with cleaners, steel wool pads, or other abrasive
materials.
14. Never leave the empty carafe on the keeping warm plate otherwise the carafe is
liable to crack. The carafe is designed for use with this appliance. It must never
be used on a range top.
15. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
16. Do not use outdoors.

Notes on the cord plug:
This appliance has a polarized plug, To reduce the risk of electric shock, this
plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way, If the plug does not fit
fully into the outlet, reverse the plug, If it still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician, Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
Notes on the cord:
a)
A short power-supply cord (or detached power-supply cord) is to be
provided to reduce risks resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping
over a long cord.
b)
Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available
and may be used if care is exercised in their use.
c)
If a long detachable power-supply cords or extension cord is used,

Before your first use:
Check that the accessories are complete and the unit is not damaged. Then do not
place into coffee ground, brew clean water up to MAX marker according to the steps
below for one or two times, then pour out. Clean carafe, lid, funnel thoroughly with
warm water.
OPERATION INSTRUCTION:
1. Making Coffee immediately

Open the tank cover of coffee maker, fill proper
amount water into tank with carafe. The water level
should between the MAX and MIN.

Place the funnel into the funnel support, make sure

the figure at the end of instruction. Then put the
filter correctly.

Add coffee ground into filter. Usually a cup of coffee need a level spoon of
coffee ground, but you may adjust according to you taste properly.

Insert the carafe on keeping warm plate horizontally.
Note: the tuber of carafe must be inserted into the keep warm plate.

Plug the power cord into the outlet, the LCD will display
“AM12:00
“ (fig.1).
6)
Press “ON/OFF” button, the “RUN” indicator will be illuminated. The
appliance will begin working.
Note: You can take out carafe, pour and serve at any time. The appliance
will stop dripping automatically. But the time can not exceed 30 seconds.
7)
Do not open the tank cover when the coffee maker is operating. the flow
back of hot water will damage the appliance.
8)
You can take out carafe, pour and serve when finish brewing (about one
minute later after the coffee stops dripping out.)
Note: the coffee you get will less than the water you have inputted in, as
some water is absorbed by coffee ground. As safety is concerned, you had
better cover the lid of carafe when pouring, that is good to keep warm too.
9)
Always turn the coffee maker off and unplug the power cord from the
electrical outlet when the coffee maker is not in use.
Note: pay attention to pour the coffee out, otherwise you may be hurt as
the temperature of coffee just finished is high.
2. Automatic start function
If you do not want the coffee maker start operation immediately, for example
now it is 5:10 pm, you hope that the coffee maker will
automatically start at 8:15 in the evening, first follow
steps 1 to 5 of above section, then you can set the

Note: the time cycle is 12 hours, ever 12 hours, the “AM” and “PM” will
transform once.

Press “PROG” button, the “LCD” will display “TIMER”, then set the
automatic start time by pressing the “HOUR” and “MIN”.(fig.3)
At 8:15 in the evening the “AUTO” indicator will be extinguished, and the
“RUN” will be illuminated. The appliance will start automatically. After
brewing, you can replace the carafe on keeping warm plate. Once the
coffee maker is energized, the coffee can be kept warm.
Note: If leave the coffee maker unattended for 2 hours, the appliance
will be cut off power automatically.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE:
CAUTION: Be sure to unplug this appliance before cleaning. To protect against
electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug or unit in water or liquid. After each use,
always make sure plug is first removed from wall outlet.
1)
Clean the filter, carafe and carafe lid after each use in hot, sudsy water.
2)
Wipe the product’s exterior surface with a soft, damp cloth to remove
stains.
3)
Water droplets may buildup in the area above the Filter and drip onto the
product base during brewing. To control the dripping, wipe off the area with
a clean, dry cloth after each use of the product.
4) Use a damp cloth to gently wipe the keeping warm plate. Never use
abrasive cleaner to clean it.
5) Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service facility.
CLEANING MINERAL DEPOSITS
To keep your coffee maker operating efficiently, you should clean away the
mineral deposits left by the water regularly according to the water quality in your
area and the frequency use the appliance, the detail is as follows: fill the carafe
with one part of white vinegar and three parts of cold water, pour the water and
vinegar mixture into the tank, do not place into coffee ground, brewing the
water-vinegar solution per “operation instruction”, repeat it until no yellow liquid
comes out if necessary, then pour out the mixture, brewing with tap water until
no vinegar odor is left..

HINTS FOR GREAT-TASTING COFFEE
1.
A clean coffee maker is essential for making great-tasting coffee. Regularly
clean the coffee maker as specified in the “CLEANING AND
MAINRENANCE” section. Always use fresh, cold water in the coffee
maker.
2.
Store unused coffee grounds in a cool, dry place. After opening a package
of coffee grounds, reseal it tightly and store it in a refrigerator to maintain its
freshness.
3.
For an optimum coffee taste, buy whole coffee beans and finely grind them
just before brewing.
4.
Do not reuse coffee grounds since this will greatly reduce the coffee’ flavor.
Reheating coffee is not recommended as coffee is at its peak flavor
immediately after brewing.
5.
Clean the coffee maker when over-extraction causes oiliness. Small oil
droplets on the surface of brewed, black coffee are due to the extraction of
oil from the coffee grounds.
6.
Oiliness may occur more frequently if heavily roasted coffees are used.

MEDIDAS DE SEGURIDAD IMPORTANTES
Cuando use artefactos eléctricos, ciertas medidas básicas de
precaución deberán ser siempre observadas, incluyendo las siguientes:

PARA USO DOMESTICO SOLAMENTE
Nota sobre el Conector del Cable de Poder
El cable de poder de este artefacto viene equipado con un conector
polarizado para reducir el riesgo de incendio y choques eléctricos. El
conector esta diseñado para encajar dentro de la toma de poder

eléctrico de una sola manera. Si el conector no encaja completamente,
gírelo y trate de nuevo. Si el conector aun no encajara, contacte a un
electricista calificado. No intente modificar el conector del cable de
poder de ninguna manera.
Nota sobre el Cable de Poder
a. Un cable de poder corto (o cable de poder corto removible) ha sido
proveído con este artefacto con el fin de reducir los riesgos que
resultan de un cable largo enredado o tropiezos sobre el mismo.
b. Hay cables de poder largos removibles o extensiones eléctricas
disponibles para ser usadas con este electrodoméstico. De ser así,
deberán ser utilizados con sumo cuidado.
c. Si un cable de poder largo removible o extensión eléctrica es usada:
1. La especificación eléctrica indicada en el cable de extensión
eléctrica deberá ser igual o mayor que la requerida en la etiqueta
de especificaciones de este electrodoméstico.
2. Si este electrodoméstico viene equipado con conexión tierra, el
cable de extensión deberá poseer un sistema de puesta a tierra de
tres cables y conector de 3 clavijas.
3. Todo cable de poder largo o extensión eléctrica deberá ser
colocada de tal manera que no cuelgue de la mesa o tablero de
cocina donde se halle ubicado este electrodoméstico, evitando

que este sea accidentalmente halado o tropezado por niños u
adultos.
FAMILIARIZANDOSE CON SU CAFETERA
ANTES DE USAR LA CAFETERA POR PRIMERA VEZ
Chequee que todos los accesorios que acompañan este artefacto están
completos y que la unidad no esta dañada. No agregue café molido todavía.
Agregue agua al tanque de agua hasta el nivel máximo indicado en el
medidor y siga los pasos mas abajo indicados una o dos veces. Limpie
completamente el Carafé, Tapa del Carafé y el Embudo con agua tibia.

INSTRUCCIONES DE OPERACIÓN
1. COLADO DE CAFÉ AUTOMATICO
a) Abra la tapa del contenedor de
agua de su colador de café;
llénelo con la cantidad de agua
apropiada contenida en el Carafé.
El nivel de agua deberá ser entre
el nivel máximo y el mínimo.
b) Coloque el embudo dentro de la base del mismo, asegurándose que
esta colocado correctamente. Los pasos detallados se muestran en
el dibujo que se halla al final de esta sección de instrucciones. Luego
coloque el filtro de café correctamente.
c) Agregue el café molido dentro del filtro. Usualmente, una taza de café
requiere la medida de una cucharada rasa de café molido pero usted
puede variar esta medida de acuerdo a su gusto apropiadamente.
d) Inserte el Carafé sobre la plancha base de mantenimiento de calor
horizontalmente.
Nota: El envase de Carafé deberá ser insertado dentro y sobre la
plancha base de mantenimiento de calor.

e) Conecte el cable de poder dentro de la fuente de poder electrico; la
pantalla digital del reloj mostrara “AM12:00 “(FIG.1).
f) Presione el control de ENCENDIDO / APAGADO; la luz indicadora de
OPERACIÓN NORMAL se iluminara. La cafetera comenzara a operar.
Nota: Usted puede retirar el Carafé, verterlo y servir café en cualquier
momento.
La
cafetera
detendrá
el
proceso
de
colación
automáticamente. Pero el tiempo de espera no puede exceder de 30
segundos.
g) No abra el contenedor de agua cuando la cafetera este en
funcionamiento. La salida de vapor caliente dañara la cafetera.
h) Usted puede retirar el Carafé, verterlo y servir el café cuando la
cafetera halla terminado de colar (alrededor de un minuto después
que la cafetera halla completado el proceso de colación).
Nota: la cantidad de café que usted obtendrá será menor que la
cantidad de agua que usted halla vertido en el contenedor; parte de
esta agua es absorbida por los granos de café molido. Como medida
de precaución usted deberá mantener la tapa del Carafé colocada en
su sitio cuando sirva el café; esto también lo mantendrá tibio por más
tiempo.
i) Siempre apague la cafetera y desconéctela de la fuente de poder

eléctrico cuando no la este usando.
Nota: preste atención cuando sirva el café; de no hacerlo, usted
podría hacerse daño ya que la temperatura del café recién colado es
sumamente caliente.
2. FUNCION DE COLADO DE CAFÉ AUTOMATICO PROGRAMADO
Si usted no desea iniciar el colado del café inmediatamente, por ejemplo,
en este momento son las 5:10 PM, usted desea programar el colado del
café para las 8:15 de la noche. Primero siga los pasos del 1 al 5 de la
sección de instrucciones previa; luego usted podrá programar su
cafetera para que inicie el colado de café automático como sigue:
a) Presione el botón de ENCENDIDO / APAGADO
(ON / OFF) dos veces. Al hacerlo el
indicador de OPERACIÓN AUTOMÁTICA se
iluminara.
b) Presione el botón de PROGRAMACIÓN (PROG);
la pantalla digital del reloj mostrara la
palabra RELOJ ("CLOCK").
Ajuste el reloj a la hora actual presionando los botones de HORA
"HOUR" Y MINUTOS "MIN" (FIG.2).

Nota: el ciclo de tiempo del reloj es de 12 horas; cada 12 horas los
indicadores de AM y PM se cambiaran cuando corresponda.
c) Presione el botón de PROGRAMACIÓN ("PROG"), la pantalla digital del
reloj mostrara la palabra TEMPORIZADOR ("TIMER"); luego programe la
hora que usted desea se inicie el colado de café automáticamente
presionando los botones de HORA ("HOUR") Y MINUTOS ("MIN"). (FIG.).
Continuando con el ejemplo anterior, a las 8:15 de la noche el
indicador de OPERACIÓN AUTOMÁTICA "AUTO" se apagara y el indicador
de OPERACIÓN NORMAL "RUN" se iluminara. La cafetera comenzara a
colar el café automáticamente. Una vez terminado el proceso de
colado, usted podrá retirar el Carafé de la plancha base de
mantenimiento de calor servir café y luego colocar de nuevo el
Carafé sobre la plancha base de mantenimiento de calor para
mantener el café caliente.
Nota: Si usted deja la cafetera desatendida por espacio de 2 horas, la
cafetera se apagara automáticamente.
LIMPIEZA Y MANTENIMIENTO:
PRECAUCION: Asegúrese de desconectar la cafetera de la fuente de poder
electrico antes de limpiarla. Para protegerse contra choques eléctricos,
no sumerja el cable de poder, el conector del mismo o la unidad base de

la cafetera dentro del agua o cualquier otro líquido. Después de cada
uso, siempre asegúrese primero que el conector del cable de poder es
removido de la fuente de poder eléctrico.
1. Limpie el Filtro, Carafé y la Tapa del Carafé después de cada uso con
agua caliente en agua ligeramente jabonosa.
2. Limpie la superficie externa de la cafetera con un paño húmedo para
remover cualquier mancha o sucio.
3. Una condensación de agua puede que se acumule en el área
superior del filtro y gotear sobre la base de la cafetera durante el
proceso de colación de café. Para controlar este goteo, limpie el área
con un paño limpio y seco después de cada uso de la cafetera.
4. Use un paño húmedo para limpiar gentilmente la plancha base de
mantenimiento de calor. Nunca use limpiadores abrasivos para
limpiarla.
LIMPIEZA DE DEPOSITO DE MINERALES
Para mantener su cafetera operando eficientemente, usted deberá limpiar
la acumulación de minerales dejado por el agua durante el proceso de
colado y de acuerdo a la frecuencia con que use esta cafetera. Los detalles
de como hacerlo son como sigue:
Llene el Carafé con una cuarta parte de vinagre blanco y las otras tres
cuartas partes de agua fría. Agregue la mezcla de agua y vinagre dentro el
contenedor de agua. No coloque café molido en el colador. Cuele la

mezcla de agua y vinagre e inicie el proceso de colado como se indica en
las "instrucciones de operación"; repita este proceso tantas veces como
sea necesario hasta que el agua que sale de la cafetera no sea amarilla;
luego bote la mezcla de agua con vinagre; llene el contenedor de agua con
agua fresca y reinicie el proceso de colado, haciéndolo tantas veces como
sea necesario hasta que desaparezca el olor a vinagre.
CONSEJOS PARA UN CAFÉ DE GRAN SABOR
1. Una cafetera limpia es esencial para hacer un café con un sabor
excelente. Regularmente limpie la cafetera tal como ha sido
especificado en la sección de "LIMPIEZA Y MANTENIMIENTO". Siempre
use agua fresca y fría en la cafetera.
2. Mantenga el café molido sin usar en un lugar seco y fresco. Una vez
abierto el paquete de café molido, ciérrelo completamente y
almacénelo en el refrigerador para mantener su frescura.
3. Para un café de óptimo sabor, compre granos de café completos y
muélalos finamente antes de colar el café.
4. No rehúse el café molido ya que esto reducirá grandemente su sabor.
El recalentamiento de café no es recomendado ya que el sabor
máximo del buen café se obtiene solo cuando es recién colado.
5. Limpie la cafetera cuando el colado de café ha originado una película
aceitosa. Pequeñas gotas de aceite en la superficie del café recién

colado pueden aparecer debido a la extracción de aceite del grano de
café negro.
6. Esta película aceitosa puede presentarse más frecuentemente
cuando se usa café molido altamente tostado.
