HURRICANES
God, our Father, Creator and Lord of the universe, You
have set the earth on its foundation and all the elements
of nature obey your command. We humbly beseech you
to keep us safe from all dangers and calm the storms
that threaten us. May we be secure in your loving
protection and serve you always with grateful hearts. We
ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your son, who

forever and ever. Amen.

Office Hours:
Tuesday – Wednesday, 9:30 - 11:30 AM,
Thursday: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
In the Gospel, Jesus supersedes both the apostles’
and the crowds’ expectations: with little he feeds
many…Jesus is the sign of God’s lavish presence
and love. Your donation to the Society of St.
Vincent de Paul is indeed a sign of God’s
extravagant love to the lonely and the poor.
Are you available on Thursday evenings
from 6-8 PM?
Do you like to answer phones and do basic office
work? Are you bilingual? If so, we invite you to join
our Thursday evening SVDP team. We are very
shorthanded during these hours. We are also in
great need of someone who speaks Spanish to
assist our Spanish speaking neighbors. Please
contact Nancy at the email address below for more
information.
Upcoming Conference Meetings
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul meets the 2nd
and 4th Wednesdays of each month at 7 PM at St.
Paul. We invite you to join us if you are interested
in serving God through this ministry.
Contact us at: 281. 333.2509 or email:
[email protected].
Sorry, SVdP will be closed the week of
July 27-31, 2015.

“El amor es nuestra misión: la familia
plenamente viva”.
7 PM.

Adult Ministry and Faith formation:
Because Our Faith is too rich and beautiful to have ever learned it ALL…
Contact Heidi Clark, Director of Adult Ministry, 281.333.3891, Ext. 328 or [email protected]
Adult faith formation at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church is centered around the understanding that living
“The Way” taught by Jesus Christ is a life-long, evolving journey, involving both effort and decision. To enable
adults to explore the faith and deepen their knowledge of God’s Word, we provide many opportunities to
come together in a learning environment. As a diverse community with a small parish feel, we know it is
important to walk that journey with others and to share what we have learned along the way.

really going on in your wife’s head? What do you wish
your husband knew about you?
Discover key ingredients to a
healthy and happy marriage at
the Passion & Purpose for
Marriage event here on
Saturday, September 12, from
7-10:45 PM. Presented by Dr.
Allen Hunt, one of the great
emerging Catholic voices of
our time, this program will
take your relationship to a
whole new level. For more
than 20 years Hunt has helped
couples develop, nurture, and grow dynamic marriages. His
incredible story of how he became Catholic is presented in
his bestselling book Confessions of a Mega Church Pastor.
Tickets will go on sale soon at the Welcome Center.
It’s that time of year again when men of the parish pick up
their mixing bowls and spatulas to cook up the Bay Area’s
most delicious fund raiser of the year. Mark your calendars
for Saturday, August 15, from 6-11 PM. Each cook’s
entry—whether it’s an appetizer, entrée, or dessert—is
published in a commemorative cookbook given to
attendees so their favorite recipes can become YOUR
favorite recipes. The evening also features a wine, beer,
dancing, and more fun. Tickets
will be on sale at the Welcome
Center beginning this week.
Also, it’s not too late to enter,
so if you’re a male who enjoys
time in the kitchen, show us
your stuff! Tickets are on sale
after masses and at the
Welcome Center--$35 presale
or $50 at the door. Contact Carl or Debbie Conder at
281.334.4836 or by email at [email protected]. This
fun, annual event benefits ACTS ministries.
