Before you Begin…SOFTWARE AND EQUIPMENT NEEDED
•Computer with Windows Media Player 10 or higher
• Photo Story 3 software – free download from Microsoft

•Microphone to record narrations
STEP 1: PREPARATION
-Choose a topic.
-Create a folder on your desktop for each
student/group topic.
-Locate images and sounds/music (mp3
files)
STEP 3: PRODUCTION
-Open Photo Story 3
-Begin a new story
-Import, edit and arrange pictures
-Add titles to pictures
- Narrate pictures and add transitions
- Add background music by importing or
creating music
- Preview project
-Book report
-Famous historical
person or building
-Field trip Report
-My Hero
-Local historical
landmark
STEP 2: PLANNING
-Create a storyboard
-Save pictures, sound effects, and music, to
the appropriate folder (Be careful to
maintain of list of sources for the credits).
STEP 4: FINISHING
-Save the project files
-Save the finished product
-Deliver product to recipient
