Dear Cougars,
Welcome back to another exciting school year! One focus this year is having parent training classes so
that you as parents/guardians can feel comfortable working with your children using the new State
Standards. We will target the primary grades the first part of the year and move up through the grade
levels from there. Also, we are hoping that as parents/guardians gain confidence in their new skill set
that they will consider volunteering in the classroom. Attending the classes does not mean you have to
volunteer in the classroom. We just want to make sure you know you are welcome to do so and maybe
are more comfortable being there due to your training. Mostly we want you to be able to work with your
children at home and at the very least understand the standards we are trying to teach your
babies/young adults.
We ran a few test classes last year. They were well attended and well received by the parents that came
to them.
A reminder to help continue building your children’s knowledge base, please make sure to set Doctor
appointments outside of school hours as much as possible. Every minute your child is out of school is a
minute of lost instruction. We know that sometimes specialists are hard to get in to see, but that regular
doctor and dental appointments can be planned for holiday times and after school hours. Please do
what you can to help your child be here daily, on time and for the whole day.

First come first serve
Harvest Time Pentecostal Church Of God donated to Stratford School several back packs. If your
student is in need of a backpack, please call or stop by the office and let them know.
BUS/TRANSPORTATION RULES:
Bus transportation is a privilege, not a right. Students must adhere to several regulations, for safety
reasons.
1. Students are expected to wait in an orderly manner at the bus stop. They are to refrain from interfering
with passing traffic or the rights of other students.
2. Quiet talking is permitted on the bus. Bus drivers will determine the upper limits of acceptable volume
of noise. Bus drivers are directed to limit the noise in a bus in order that they may thoroughly concentrate
on safe driving.
3. Students are expected to recognize the fact that the bus driver is in charge of the operation of the bus
and to show the driver respect.
4. Students are expected to treat the bus with respect and care and to avoid accidental or intentional
defacing of the bus.
5. Eating food or drinking on the bus is not permitted.
6. No part of a passenger’s body should be extended out of the bus.
7. Throwing items in and out of the bus is not allowed.
8. All passengers are expected to remain seated at all times on the bus unless given permission to do
otherwise by the driver.
9. Emergency exits are to be used or involved only under the direction of the bus driver.

It is very important that the school be
provided with up-to-date emergency
telephone numbers in case of an
emergency or illness. These numbers
may be those of a relative, friend, or
neighbor who will be responsible for your
child’s care in your absence. This person
will be responsible for making decisions
concerning your child’s care when you are
not available and may need to provide
transportation for your child in your
absence.

Estimados Cougars,
Queridos padres,
Si no han regresado todos las formas que
enviamos a casa el primer día de clases, por
favor regréselas lo antes posible.
Es muy importante que la escuela este
provista de los números de teléfono de
emergencia actualizados en caso de una
emergencia o enfermedad. Estos números
pueden ser los de un familiar, amigo o
vecino que será responsable del cuidado de
su hijo en su ausencia. Esta persona será
responsable de tomar decisiones relativas a
la atención de su hijo cuando usted no está
disponible y necesite proporcionar
transporte para su hijo en su ausencia.
Bienvenidos a otro emocionante año escolar! Uno de los enfoques de este año es tener
clases de capacitación de padres manera que usted como padres / tutores puedan
sentirse confortable trabajando con sus los niños usando los nuevos estándares estatales.
Nos concentraremos en los grados primarios la primera parte del año y seguir con los

normas que estamos tratando de enseñar a sus bebés / jóvenes adultos.
Tuvimos un par de clases de prueba el año pasado, y fueron muy concurridas y bien
recibidas por los padres que vinieron a ellas.
Un recordatorio para ayudar a continuar la construcción de la base de conocimientos de
sus hijos, por favor asegúrese de hacer Las citas de doctores después del horario escolar
lo más posible. Cada minuto que su hijo está fuera de la escuela es un minuto de
enseñanza perdido. Sabemos que a veces los especialistas son difíciles de obtener hacer
citas, pero el médico regular las citas dentales puedan programar tiempo de vacaciones
y después de las horas de clase. Por favor, haga lo que pueda para ayudar a su niño a
estar aquí todos los días, a tiempo y por todo el día.

REGLAS DEL AUTOBÚS/TRANSPORTACIÓN:
El transporte en autobús es un privilegio, no un derecho. Los estudiantes deben
cumplir con varias regulaciones, por razones de seguridad.
1. Se espera que los estudiantes esperen en una manera ordenada en la parada de
autobús. Deben evitar interferir con el paso de tráfico o los derechos de otros
estudiantes.
2. Conversación en voz baja está permitido en el autobús. Los conductores del autobús
determinarán los límites máximos de volumen aceptables de ruido. Los conductores de
autobuses son dirigidos a limitar el ruido en un autobús con el fin de que puedan
concentrarse completamente en conducir seguramente.
3. Se espera que los estudiantes reconozcan el hecho de que el conductor del autobús
está a cargo de la operación del autobús y mostrar respeto hacia el conductor.
4. Se espera que los estudiantes traten el autobús con respeto y cuidado y eviten la
desfiguración accidental o intencional del autobús.
5. Comer alimentos o beber en el autobús no es permitido.
6. Ninguna parte del cuerpo de un pasajero debe extenderse fuera del autobús.
7. Lanzar objetos dentro y fuera del autobús no está permitido.
