Class of 2014
Believe it or not, our 2013-14 school year is
quickly coming to an end. We are happy and
proud of the accomplishments of our students and
teachers this year. With more than 40 new students
to OLMC School this year, we have not only
grown in size, but in diversity of learners in our
school, which enriches the learning of all. This
year, thanks in part to a large inner-city schools
grant, we were able to replace most of the outdated
textbooks at OLMC School. Furthermore, we have
made strides in increasing student achievement,
teacher training, classroom technology use, and
student safety. This month we will see our large
class of twenty Kindergartners graduate to the 1st
grade and a full class of twenty 8th graders
graduate and move on
to various local high
schools. Nine of our
students will move on
to Cristo Rey Jesuit,
six to Mt. Carmel
Academy, and one to
St. Thomas High
School, while others
are undecided. We are
proud of each and
every one of our
students and confident
in a highly successful
educational
career
ahead of each and
every one of them.

Aunque no lo creas, nuestro año escolar 2013-14 está
llegando rápidamente a su fin. Estamos muy contentos y
orgullosos de los logros que han obtenido nuestros
estudiantes y maestros durante este año. Con más de 40
estudiantes nuevos en la Escuela OLMC este año, no sólo
hemos crecido en tamaño, sino también en la diversidad de
los alumnos, lo que enriquece el aprendizaje de todos. En
este año, gracias en parte a un gran subsidio de las escuelas
de la ciudad, hemos podido reemplazar la mayoría de los
libros de texto anticuados que teníamos en la escuela
OLMC. Además, hemos tenido grandes progresos en el
aumento del rendimiento académico de los estudiantes, en la
formación docente, el uso de tecnología en las aulas, y la
seguridad de los estudiantes. Este mes veremos la
graduación de una maravillosa clase de veinte niños de
jardín que pasan a 1er.

El final del año escolar se acerca! La escuela OLMC está
aceptando las últimas matrículas para el año escolar 201415, que comienza el 13 de Agosto! Las familias con niños de
3 ó 4 años de edad que estén interesadas en el programa de
Pre -Kinder deben inscribirse pronto, ya que las clases están
casi llenas. Nuestro programa de Pre -K es de un programa
académico en el que los estudiantes comienzan a aprender
los fundamentos de la conducta escolar, aspectos académicos
y de fe. Además, desde Kinder hasta el grado 8vo. están en
gran demanda, gracias a nuestro personal docente altamente
especializado que trabaja muy fuerte cada día para enseñar
los conceptos académicos y fe para todos los niños de
OLMC. Si su hijo va a cumplir 3 años de aquí al 1ro. de
Septiembre 2014 y ya va solo al baño entonces cumple los
requisitos para inscribirse en Pre -K3. Si va a cumplir sus 4
años de aquí al 1ro. de Septiembre 2014 entonces reúne los
requisitos para inscribirse en Pre -K4. Los estudiantes
pueden matricularse en cualquier nivel en que aún tengamos
espacio, con una recomendación escrita de su escuela

Several Grades Already Full!
The end of the school year is coming! OLMC
School is now accepting final registrations for the
2014-15 school year, which begins on August
13th! Those families with 3 or 4 year old children
who are interested in our Pre-Kindergarten
program should sign up soon, as classes are nearly
full. Our Pre-K program is an academic program in
which students begin to learn the fundamentals of
school
behavior,
academics,
and
faith. Additionally, our grades Kinder through 8th
grade are in high demand, thanks to our highly
dedicated teaching staff who works hard each day
to teach academics and faith to every child at
OLMC. If your child will be age 3 and toilettrained by September 1, 2014 they qualify to enroll
in Pre-K3. If they will be age 4 by September 1,
2014, they will qualify to enroll in Pre-K4.
Students may enroll in any grade level where there
is space, with a written recommendation from their
