BAPTISMAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR PARENTS
•
Please, be on time. You should be in the Chapel or Church approximately 15 minutes
before the start of the Baptism. If you arrive after the Baptisms have started, you may
have to re-schedule for another day, as we cannot back up and start from the beginning
again.
•
Do not wait outside until all your party arrives; this may cause you to be late. The
parents and Godparents and the child to be baptized should go directly to the Chapel or
Church and be seated in the same row, with the parents and the child nearest to the
center aisle.
•
We cannot baptize the child if the Godparents (or a proxy) are not present.
•
During the ceremony, the father will be asked to come up and receive the candle. If the
father is unable to attend, then the Godfather should be the one to receive the candle.
•
There should be NO TALKING during the ceremony. Please show respect for others
and for the Sacrament. Please convey this to all members of your party before the
Baptism.
•
You may take pictures during the ceremony using discretion. Nothing should be done to
affect the sacramentality of the Baptism. There will be a picture session for each family
with the Priest/Deacon after the ceremony has been completed.
•
Dress properly for the occasion. This is a once in a lifetime event for your child; it is also
a Sacrament and should be observed as such.
•
After the Baptisms are over, a Baptismal Certificate will be given to the parents. Be sure
that you keep it in a safe place.
•
If you have any items that you would like blessed, you may ask the Priest/Deacon after
the Baptism is over.
•
A contribution of $50.00 to the Church for the use of the Chapel/Church is required.
Please give the donation to the Church office at least a week prior to scheduled baptism
date. If your contribution is in the form of a check, make the check payable to: ALL
SAINTS CATHOLIC CHURCH. Credit cards are also accepted. If you would like to
give a monetary gift to the Deacon or Priest in addition to the contribution to the Church
for performing the Baptism, it would be very welcomed and appreciated.

INSTRUCCIONES PARA LOS PADRES EN EL DIA DEL BAUTISMO
•
Por favor, lleguen a tiempo. Deben de estar en la Capilla o Iglesia aproximadamente 15
minutos antes del comienzo de la ceremonia del Bautismo. Si Usted llega después que la
ceremonia ha comenzado, tendrá que venir otro día para bautizar a su niño/a, ya que la
ceremonia no puede empezar nuevamente.
•
No espere afuera de la Capilla/Iglesia hasta que sus invitados lleguen, esto puede ocasionar que
Usted llegue tarde. Los padres, madres, Padrinos y Madrinas del niño/a que se va a Bautizar
deben entrar directamente a la Capilla o la Iglesia y sentarse en el mismo banco, los padres y
madres al lado del pasillo.
•
No se puede bautizar al niño/a si los Padrinos/as (o el que los represente) no están presentes.
•
Durante la ceremonia, el padrino del niño/a se llamara para que reciba la vela.
•
No se debe de hablar durante la ceremonia. Por favor, sea respetuoso con las otras personas y
con el Sacramento que se celebra. Por favor, de esta información a todas las personas de su
familia o amistades que atienden la ceremonia antes de que entren a la Iglesia o Capilla.
•
Se pueden tomar fotografías durante la ceremonia siempre que se haga con discreción. No se
debe de hacer cosa alguna que afecte la importancia y lo sagrado del Bautismo. Habrá un tiempo
después que la ceremonia haya terminado, durante el cual se pueden tomar fotografías con el
Sacerdote o Diacono.
•
Vístase correctamente para esta ocasión. Este es un evento que sucede una vez en la vida de su
niño/a; es también un sacramento que debe ser celebrado con el respeto y solemnidad que
merece.
•
Después de la ceremonia del Bautismo, un certificado le será entregado a los padres del niño/a.
Guárdelo en un lugar seguro.
•
Si Usted tiene algunos objetos religiosos que desea sean benditos, pueden pedirle al Sacerdote o
Diacono que lo haga después de la ceremonia del Bautizo.
•
Se requiere una contribución de $50.00 a la Iglesia por el uso de la Capilla/Iglesia. Por favor
lleve su donación a la Oficina de la Iglesia por lo menos una semana antes de la fecha del
bautizo. Si su donación es en la forma de un cheque, haga el cheque pagadero a: ALL SAINTS
CATHOLIC CHURCH. Tambien se aceptan tarjetas de crédito. Si desea hacer un regalo
monetario al Diácono o Sacerdote por su participación en la ceremonia del Bautismo en adición
a la contribución de la Iglesia, esta será bienvenida y agradecida.
