Father James McIlhone, is a priest-scholar, professor at
Mundelein Seminary for 23 years, author, recipient of
academic honors, and the director of biblical formation for the
Archdiocese of Chicago. He gives missions, seminars, does radio
programs, days of renewal, and is a resident at St. Edward Parish.
He was ordained in 1974.

Do you bake?
St. Edna Parish in Arlington Heights has invited us to participate in their ministry for prisoners confined at Statesville
Correctional Facility. They will be sharing the word of God
and praying with the prisoners during the month of April.
They need us to help them provide almost 30,000 cookies
for refreshments. (Last year we sent 125 dozen). The homemade cookies are a sign to the men who attend the retreats
that someone cares for them.
Recipes for the cookies are very
specific; They will be available
on the parish website this week,
as well as in the entrances to the
church this weekend. You can
either drop off during the day on
Saturday to the Parish Center or please drop them off at
church on either the weekend of April 10th or April
17th. We will deliver the cookies to St. Edna's on both
weekends.
If you don't bake, prayers are always needed too.

La parroquia de San Edna a en Arlington
Heights nos ha invitado a participar en su
ministerio para los presos confinados en
Stateville Correccional Facility. Ellos van a
compartir la palabra de Dios y orar con los presos durante
el mes de Abril.
Ellos nos necesitan para ayudarles a proporcionar casi
30.000 galletas para comida. (El año pasado mandamus 125

What is Divine Mercy?
The Divine Mercy Message and Devotion
The message of The Divine Mercy is simple. It is that
God loves us – all of us. And, he wants us to recognize
that His mercy is greater than our sins, so that we will
call upon Him with trust, receive His mercy, and let it
flow through us to others. Thus, all will come to share
His joy.
The Divine Mercy message is one we can call to mind
simply by remembering ABC:
A - Ask for His Mercy. God wants us to approach Him in prayer
constantly, repenting of our sins and asking Him to pour His
mercy out upon us and upon the whole world.
B - Be merciful. God wants us to receive His mercy and let it
flow through us to others. He wants us to extend love and forgiveness to others just as He does to us.
C - Completely trust in Jesus. God wants us to know that the
graces of His mercy are dependent upon our trust. The more we
trust in Jesus, the more we will receive.

¿Qué es la Divina Misericordia?
El Mensaje y la Devoción de la Divina Misericordia
El mensaje de la Divina Misericordia es simple. Es que
Dios nos ama a todos. Él quiere que reconozcamos que
su misericordia es más grande que nuestros pecados
para que podamos acuir a él con confianza, recibir su
misericordia y dejar que fluya a través de nosotros hacia los demás. Por lo tanto, todos podrán compartir su
alegría.
Para lograr la Divina Misericordia, ten en cuenta lo siguiente:
1) Pide Su Misericordia. Dios quiere que nos acerquemos a él
en constante oración, que nos arrepintamos de nuestros pecados
y le pidamos derramar su misericordia sobre nosotros y sobre el
mundo entero.
2) Se misericordioso. Dios quiere que recibamos su misericordia
y que fluya a través de nosotros hacia los demás. Él quiere extender el amor y el perdón a los demás tal como lo hace con nosotros.
3)- Confía en Jesús. Dios quiere que sepamos que las gracias de
su misericordia dependen de nuestra confianza. Cuanto más confiamos en Jesús, más recibiremos.
