Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament
Thursday after the 8:30 AM Mass. The hours will
be from 9:30 am and will end with the Mass at
7:00 PM.

de la misa de 8:30 am y culminando con la misa a

Baptism: Fir st Saturday of the month at 1:00 PM. Parents
must come to the Rectory with the with child’s original birth
certificate at least one or two months in advance. Instruction is
held on the Monday before the Baptism at 7:00 PM. For more
information please contact the Rectory.

Why does the Church insist so much on
repentance during the Lenten Season? This is a
precious time in which we may enter into salvation or not. Salvation has already been accomplished: it is up to us to have the humility to accept it or not. Everything depends on our acceptance of the graces the Lord wants to give us,
in order to enter into humility. To accept this Salvation means to be willing to be loved by God
and to accept the two-folded reality of man:
death and sin. It is extremely necessary for us to
ask for humility to the Lord, without which we
cannot welcome our Savior in this imminent Holy Week. Even “the wild beasts honor me, jackals
and ostriches,” says the Lord, “for I put water in
the desert and rivers in the wasteland for my chosen people to drink” (Is 43). Are we willing to
recognize that, because of our sins, we have almost dried up the “waters” of our Baptism, and
reduced to a “wasteland” our hearts? The Lord,
in this most Holy Triduum about to come, wants
to open a way for us to come out from our slavery to sin. It is an invitation from our Lord to
come out from our sinful pride and to follow him
into the eternal feast: the Passover. He is the

One who will make it possible: he will take us
out from the Egypt of our haughtiness, so that we
can experience the love and the tenderness of
God.

“Answering Jesus” Call to Serve”
We are looking for people to serve the children
of our community. Through the teaching of the
Word of God in our Religious Formation Program, the children will learn about the presence
of God in their lives.
Currently the program serves over 1,000 children. We need adults, young and old, to join us
in this mission.
We provide training for all our catechists.
“At the heart of catechesis we find, in essence, a
Person, the Person of Jesus of Nazareth, the only
Son from the Father...who suffered and died for
us and who now, after rising, is living with us
forever. To catechize is to reveal the person of
Christ”

are going to Poland for World Youth Day we

Quinto Domingo de Cuaresma
¡Ya se acerca el Señor! ¡Ya viene pronto a
salvarnos! Esta Cuaresma es el tiempo en el cual el
Señor nos anima a no tener miedo de confesar
nuestros pecados. Hay que hacer una cosa sola en
este tiempo: pedir al Señor la gracia de un sincero
arrepentimiento. La humildad es “hermana” del

RECAUDACION DE FONDOS PARA
EL DÍA MUNDIAL DE LA JUVENTUD
2016
En un esfuerzo para recaudar fondos para los
jóvenes que van a Polonia para el Día Mundial
de la Juventud estamos vendiendo barras de
chocolate por $1 cada una. También aquellas
personas interesadas en ayudar en la venta de
los chocolates pueden ir a la Rectoría durante la
semana de 9:00am a 4:00pm.
Le agradecemos a todos los parroquianos que
nos están ayudando en la venta de chocolates.
Necesitamos jóvenes voluntarios que
sepan tocar el piano o guitarra y que
puedan ayudar con el coro de niños
