Mission Statement
Sharing the treasure of our
Catholic Faith and centered in
the Eucharist, we at Corpus
Christi Parish strive to be true
disciples of Christ to all.
Liturgy of the Day
Liturgia del Día
Today as we gather at God’s invitation, we
hear again Jesus’ commandment to love
one another. Let us be grateful today for a
God who loves us so much, and pray for
the grace to put into action this
commandment of Jesus, whether it be
toward family and dear ones, or toward the
strangers we encounter on the street. Let us
learn to love one another as Jesus has
loved us.

FIFTH SUNDAY OF EASTER
Amous Los Unos a Los Otros
Homilía
Después que las “palabras
injuriosas” del domingo pasado
(Hechos 13:45) expulsaron a
nuestro discipulado.

Corpus Christi Celebrates
the Sacrament of
Confirmation
On Friday, April 15, 2016 Corpus Christi
parish celebrated the Sacrament of
Confirmation with 44 candidates being Confirmed in the Holy Spirit.
Bishop Robert J. Guglielmone was present to confer our Class of 2016 and he reminded students that each of
us will face times in our life when we don’t feel qualified, ready or experienced enough to do what God has
called us to do. He instructed the class to take courage, even in the face of criticism, and to go forth doing
God’s work in the world in which we live.
Father Ray and the Religious Education Office would like to thank the parents, guardians and sponsors who
helped prepare the confirmandi. Additionally, we express our most sincere gratitude for all of the hard work,
time and dedication of our volunteer catechists: Jeff Hemming, Lori Long, Amanda Macchio, Trudy Svrcek
and Rob Watts. We also wish to thank Gordon Oswald, Director of Youth Ministry.
