Una Forma de Vida – 2˚ Domingo de Pascua
That we help our parish create a welcoming
attitude where people feel included and not excluded.
“Jesus came and stood among them and said to them,
‘Peace be with you.’” John 20:19 Are you good at
making people feel welcome? When you meet
someone new, a new neighbor, a new work
colleague, a new parishioner, do you make them
feel at home? Many of us can probably do a much
better job at this. When we make people feel
welcome, we make them feel like they are
included instead of being excluded. A simple “hello”
and a smile goes a long way.
Para que ayudemos a nuestra parroquia a crear una
actitud acogedora para que las personas se sientan
incluidas. “Jesús vino y se paró en medio de ellos y les
dijo, ‘Que la paz este con ustedes.’” Juan 20:19 ¿Es
bueno usted en hacer que las personas se sientan
acogidas? Cuando usted conoce a alguien nuevo, ya sea
un vecino nuevo, un colega nuevo, un párroco nuevo,
¿Los hace sentir como en casa? Muchos de nosotros
podemos mejorar mucho en esto. Cuando hacemos
que las personas se sientan acogidas, las hacemos
sentir incluidas en vez de excluidas. Un simple ‘hola’
y una sonrisa bastan.

Divine Mercy Sunday

The Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA)
Do you have questions about Catholicism? Are you
unbaptized, but recognize a need for spirituality in your life?
Have you been baptized in the Catholic Church or another
religion but never received any religious formation? Are you
married to a Catholic and attend mass, but just don’t know
what the next step is to become one of the Catholic faithful?
The Rite of Christian Initiation is the process for welcoming
newcomers into the Roman Catholic Church, or to bring
baptized Catholics into full communion with the church. Please

Divine Mercy Sunday
The second Sunday of Easter is known as Divine Mercy
Sunday, a special devotion that began from the diary of a
young Polish religious, Sister Mary Faustina, and has spread
throughout the world. The message behind this devotion is that
God is merciful and forgiving, so we must be merciful and
forgiving. Some churches have an hour of mercy, which usually
includes praying the Chaplet of Divine mercy with the image of
the Lord that was given to Sister Faustina and painted under
her direct supervision.

Domingo de la Divina Misericordia
El segundo domingo de Pascua se
denomina de la Divina Misericordia y
está marcada por una devoción
especial que empezó con el diario de
una joven religiosa, la hermana
Faustina, y que se ha extendido por
todo el mundo. El mensaje es que Dios
es misericordioso y siempre perdona y
que por lo tanto, también nosotros
debemos extender a otros misericordia y perdón. En
Puerto Rico ha crecido m ucho esta devoción. Algunas
Iglesias tienen servicios especiales, que implican la
oración de la Divina Misericordia ante la imagen del Señor
según la vision de la Hermana Faustina.
Santo Dios, Santo Fuerte, Santo Inmortal, ten
misericordia de nosotros y del mundo entero. Amen.
