Ambassador of the Year – Marco Arce is a member that has shown a
commitment to the positive promotion of the Chamber to the Hispanic
/Minority small business community. We congratulate Marco as he has
effectively helped promote Chamber programs/services through his

Diversity Award – Dr. Dana Bedden has proven to be a true champion for
cultural diversity. As Superintendent of our award winning schools, he has
demonstrated a commitment to the recruitment, retention and promotion of
individuals of underrepresented populations and has cultivated and promoted

Your 2011 National Small Chamber of the Year celebrated its 7th Annual
Awards Gala on Thursday, October 20 at 7 p.m. at the Irving Convention
Center at Las Colinas.
This year’s Keynote Speaker was none other than U.S. Hispanic Chamber of
Commerce President and CEO Javier Palomarez, accompanied by our Master
of Ceremonies, Univision Weather Anchor and Entertainment Reporter
Norberto Hernandez.
This year’s theme was Dare to Dream and our award winners and nominees did
just that. Congratulations to all the winners and thank you for your service!

Corporation of the Year – TXU Energy is a corporation in the community
who has cultivated, implemented and maintained outstanding diversity

On Thursday, October 13 at the Four Seasons Resort during the Greater Irving Las-Colinas
Chamber of Commerce’s Newsmaker Reception; the Irving Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
was recognized for being selected as the 2011 Small Chamber of the Year by the U.S.
