Save the Date!
Dear Parent/Guardian:
We are pleased to announce that this year we will be doing student-led conferences. For those of you who may be new to this procedure, the student-led
conference process empowers the student to direct and report on his/her progress at school. Our students are excited to share their learning with you.
They have prepared their portfolio that will show their goals, behavior, and academic strengths and weaknesses. In short, the students will be running the
show!
There will be several student led conferences occurring in the classroom. Remember that your child has been practicing and is excited to share with
you. Please take this time to ask him/her questions and to review his/her goals for the year. The teacher will be walking around the room checking on
the progress of the conference. If you require a private parent teacher conference a sign up sheet will be available for you to schedule one for a later
date.
We believe that the student-led conference process will help the students take responsibility for their learning and be able to share what they are
learning and what they need help with.
We are pleased with all that is happening at Josefa L. Sambrano and know that our students are eager to present their progress to you.

Estimado Padre / Tutor:
Nos complace anunciar que este año vamos a estar haciendo una conferencia estudiantil. Para aquellos de ustedes que este procedimiento
sea nuevo, el proceso de la conferencia es dirigida por estudiantes que le faculta al alumno para dirigir e informarles sobre el progreso de
el/ella en la escuela. Nuestros estudiantes están muy contentos de compartir su aprendizaje con usted. Ellos han preparado su portafolio que
mostrará sus metas, el comportamiento y las fortalezas y debilidades académicas. En resumen, los estudiantes estarán dirigiendo el show!
Habrá varias conferencias estudiantiles ocurriendo en el aula. Recuerde que su hijo/a ha estado practicando y se complace en compartir con
ustedes. Por favor, tome este tiempo para hacerle preguntas y opinar sobre sus metas para el año. El maestro va a caminar por el salón para
verificar el progreso de la conferencia. Si usted requiere una conferencia de padres y maestros privada, una hoja de inscripción estará
disponible para programar una fecha posterior.
Creemos que el proceso de la conferencia estudiantil ayudará a los estudiantes que asuman la responsabilidad de su aprendizaje y ser capaz
de compartir lo que están aprendiendo y en lo que necesitan ayuda.
Estamos muy contentos con todo lo que está sucediendo en Josefa L. Sambrano y sabemos que nuestros estudiantes están ansiosos de
presentar sus progresos.
