NORLARNET ANNOUNCEMENTS
Seminar support granted
As a result of the call for applications for support to seminars related to Latin America research in
Norway, NorLARNet has decided to support the following upcoming events:
1) 75 000 NOK to Gunvor Øie, SINTEF Fisheries and Aquaculture and Kjell Inge Reitan, Norwegian
University of Science and Technology, for a seminar titled « Brazil as a new super power in
aquaculture” in Trondheim in August 2015.
2) 75 000 NOK to Siv Oltedal, University of Stavanger and Marit Ursin, Norwegian University of
Science and Technology, for a seminar titled “Social work with families in a Latin American
perspective – Comparing Latin-American and Nordic family-based welfare work” in Stavanger
in September 2015.
3) 50 000 NOK to Vegard Bye, University of Oslo, for a seminar titled “Cuba heading for a new
development and political model?” in Oslo in June 2015.
Reminder: NorLARNet Master course 2015
NorLARNet invites all master students focusing on Latin America, and enrolled at a master
programme of a University / University College in Norway, to a two-day course to exchange
experiences and discuss your master theses with senior academic staff.

Documentary and debate: Fra sverd til plogskjær
The Norwegian documentary “Fra sverd til plogskjær” will have its first release at the film festival
«Human Rights Human Wrongs 2015”, followed by a debate on the peace process in Colombia with
Rita Sandberg, Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Diego Marin, Colombian political refugee
and peace activist; and Knut Andreas Lid, Caritas Norge.

investigaciones en Noruega sobre América Latina, NorLARNet ha decidido otorgar:
