Dear Parish Family, members, a endees, guests and seekers,
Think Locally & Act Globally!
Do you remember WHERE you were on September 11, 2001? I was celebra ng
the 8:30am Mass and my secretary gave me a note, that I s ll have, that said: "A
plane just crashed into World Trade Center."
Instead of cancelling Religious Educa on Classes that night, we decided to have
them and conclude the evening with a special prayer service. We gave the children
an opportunity to offer their own prayers of pe on. I have NEVER forgo en the last
prayer offered by a young girl: "For the conversion of terrorist hearts, let us Pray to
the Lord...."
Today on the FIFTEENTH ANNIVERSARY of the 9/11 terrorist a acks in New York and
Washington, I can STILL hear that girls voice praying: "For the conversion of terrorist
hearts, let us Pray to the Lord...."
I will be on vaca on from Thursday, Sept. 15 through Oct. 13. If you want to know
where I am you need to listen to Spirit FM 90.5 FM at 10:06AM on Saturday morning
when I have my radio show and I always share where I am at that me.
I am looking forward to our 9th annual Gala. Because of
your past support, our children and teens have had
some extraordinary opportuni es to Grow in their
FAITH. 100% of the proceeds goes to enhancing and enriching their Cateche cal Experiences. Because of the
Gala we are going to be able to offer Retreats and Mission trips THIS year. We will also begin saving for the 2019 World Youth Day in Panama, so several of our Young Adults can represent us!!!!

Estaré de vacaciones comenzando el 15 de sep embre al 13 de octubre. Si quieren
