Introduction and Welcome A Classic Format Revisited The fiesta of Rally Argentina is brought forward to a new date, now in late March, and it proposes a new, yet traditional, itinerary. With the warmth of the end of summer still in the air, Rally Argentina will be the third round of the FIA World Rally Championship calendar, starting on March 27 and visiting Cordoba hills. The route The Organization is rethinking the route of the event taking into account the new weather conditions posed by the time of the year when the rally will be run. As it is well known, Rally of Argentina runs across countless fords, whose crossing may be complicated due to the last summer rains. The strategy will be to avoid deeper water crossings, but keeping the traditional cloverleaf format visiting the three valleys of Cordoba: Punilla, Santa Rosa de Calamuchita and Traslasierra. The same passion The new date promises to bring along a massive presence of spectators to cheer at the world rally cars steered by the best drivers on earth, as well as the representatives of the Production Group, and the fastest local competitors who will surely offer a great battle to the foreign stars. The temperatures at that time of the year are usually warmer to the benefit of the million and a half spectators that spend entire nights alongside the road. Blankets will probably be replaced by sunshades, but the traditional barbecues won’t break the appointment. Pre- event This year the rally will have one more Leg, with the addition of the Welcome Party! This will be the chance for spectators, whose warmth and enthusiasm characterize this event, to welcome all those involved in World Rallying. The appointment will be on Wednesday March 26 in Villa Carlos Paz. The rally base Villa Carlos Paz will again host the Rally Headquarters and the Service Area. In the dedicated paved site at the banks of San Roque Lake, spectators, team members and media representatives will have their meeting point all along the competition. Get ready for this classic event! The Organising Committee i This document has no regulatory power. For information only. RG1 - RA08 - 3 2.
