I humbly ask your indulgence as I take the
space available on this bulletin cover and
use it for a message that is almost entirely
personal as we anticipate our celebration of
Thanksgiving Day.
Humildemente, le pido su indulgencia al

I would like to express my deep gratitude
for the Good Shepherd parish family on so
many levels.
Por muchas razones, me gustaría expresar mi
profunda gratitud a la familia parroquial de El
Buen Pastor.
I am grateful for the welcome extended
to my family when we joined this parish
in 1978, and for the priests, deacons and
parishioners who contributed to my own
faith formation.
Estoy agradecido por la bienvenida que dieron
a mi familia cuando llegamos a esta parroquia
en 1978, y por los sacerdotes, diáconos y
feligreses que contribuyeron a mi formación.
I am grateful for all who supported me
in the discernment of my vocation and
my formation for the priesthood, and
throughout my years of ministry in various
apostolates in our diocese.
I am grateful to all who warmly
welcomed me home as pastor in 2011,
and who through these past 4½ years have
encouraged and prayed for me.
Happy Thanksgiving to one and all,
and please know that when I count my
blessings this Thursday, I will certainly
have a special place in my heart for Good
Shepherd Church!
Estoy agradecido por todos los que me
apoyaron en el discernimiento de mi vocación
y formación al sacerdocio, y durante todos mis
años de ministerio en varios apostolados en
nuestra diócesis.
Estoy agradecido a todos quienes me dieron
una cálida bienvenida como párroco en 2011 y
durante los 4 años y medio me han motivado y
rezado por mí.

Add your prayers to our altar manger scene this Advent.
Pieces of paper ‘straw’ are available in the Narthex
before Mass on which prayers, intentions and good
works may be inscribed. The ‘straw’ is brought forward
in a basket during the Presentation of the Gifts.

Girl Scout troop based at Good Shepherd.

Help Needed for “Las Posadas”
December 15 - 23 (times vary)
Help sponsor one evening of Las Posadas by providing
refreshments. “Las Posadas” is an Advent tradition where
families portray Mary and Joseph’s journey from Nazareth
to Bethlehem over 9 days. We are seeking a different
sponsor (or group of sponsors) for each day of the Posada.
