RF Circulator PLC Program Computing Engineer Student profile: Computing/Electronics Engineer or Similar: PLC Programming. Computing/Electronics Engineering student interested in PLC Programming. In particular, the project is to develop a PLC program that imitates the functionality of an existing PLC program used to control the current of the high power circulator coils of the RF plants of Storage Ring and Booster Accelerators. Program: • • • • • PLC programing – Allan Bradley – Micrologix 1100 Formation in the operation conditions of high power RF plants Analysis of functionalities of the existing PLC program controlling the high power circulator of RF plants Improvement of the program by adding new functionalities Documentation of the project, design, implementation, tests, results, etc… Educational profit: Educational subjects that the student will train from the tasks he/she will develop. • • Introduction to synchrotron accelerator operation How it works Parameter control and supervision Accelerator equipment Power supplies RF systems Infrastructures • • PLC Hardware CPU boards Analogue boards Digital boars Communication boards Professional PLC programing.
