Two of our ordinands, Tony Hollowell and Matt Tucci, are studying in Rome and their course work is not completed until the middle of June…thus the later date for the ordination. There are six deacons to be ordained to the priesthood which is a very good number for our archdiocese. A prayer of thanks to God! This weekend is our Ministry Fair. Please take a few minutes after Mass and browse through the displays for the many ministries. Sometimes we hear about the various ministries of our parish, but when you see all the displays, it really makes an impact. For most of these ministries, volunteers are essential. If you are new to the parish or have backed out of involvement, I would like to ask you to consider stepping forward and getting more involved. Faith grows with involvement, so by blessing others, you will be blessed. Thank you to everyone who has offered support to the José Alberto Ruiz family. I am sure many of you saw the articles in The Star and on the TV news about the tragic death of José. There is much to pray about as we help this family and as we seek to find solutions for our city. Fr. Juan was in California this week, celebrating his 25th Anniversary as a priest with his family. When he returns, he will be hosting 14 members of his ordination class in Mexico who are coming first to Chicago, then to Indianapolis! It will be a great time for these classmates to share stories and celebrate God’s gift of the priesthood. Thank you to those who are helping Fr. Juan with housing during their time in Indianapolis. Presta atención a tus luchas y tentaciones.
