To explore the meaning of the lives of these modern-day spiritual heroes, the U.S. Bishops Office for Media Relations asked several persons to reflect on their contributions. Writers include scholars and theologians – Catholic, Orthodox and Jewish – and media personnel involved in coverage of the much travelled John Paul II. Tom Barrett at: (561) 622-2565 GRIEF & LOSS SUPPORT GROUP St. Ignatius Cathedral has begun a grief and loss support group with the next meeting taking place on April 29th at 10 a.m. in the Parish Hall. The purpose of the group is to offer support to persons who are experiencing symptoms of grief due to a recent loss. In general the group will be held weekly for 6-8 weeks. The group is open to men and women. The meetings will be on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. -11 a.m. in the Parish Hall. For more information call the Parish Office. ST. Each summer the opportunity for teens to go to a Catholic Camp or Youth Conference comes up and Many times they need financial support to be able to participate. Our Parishioners have been very generous to support Our teens in the past, it is that time again that I let you know, we are in need once more. Cost of transportation, lodging and camp/conference itself generally run between $500 - $650 dollars, we do fundraise, but at times need a bit more. The Blue Knights Catholic Club is a boys’ club aimed at teaching the truths of the Catholic faith to boys through Scripture, saint’s biographies, games, crafts and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Dan McGuire (founder), maps out nine virtues for boys ages 5 and up in the first year, and then follows up with three years covering nine catechetical lessons each.
