he First International Polo Classic was
held at Ibiza Polo Club, quite an exciting
and important tourney where some of the
players flew their horses in. Among the spectators were, among others, actor Stephen Dorff
and Anuschka Bahlsen, heiress to the biscuits
brand Bahlsen.
During the three days of the tournament,
apart from the polo matches the people attending also enjoyed activities such as the
exclusive worldwide presentation of Louis
Roeder’s Cristal 2002 Jeroboam (a 3 liter bottle),
the after polo parties and the Lalique awards
ceremony.
Four teams fought hard for the victory and
as is usual in tourneys of such high handicap,
the polo matches were quite a thrilling show
where each player gave his best. Los Mariachis
won, while 4Polo Management got the second

l Ibiza Polo Club celebró el primer International Polo Classic, un torneo muy emocionante y competitivo donde por primera vez en
Ibiza algunos de los jugadores trajeron sus
caballos, acción que denota la importancia de
esta competición. Entre los espectadores fueron,
entre otros el actor Stephen Dorff y Anuschka
Bahlsen, heredera de la marca de galetas
Bahlsen.
El evento deportivo duró tres días, en los cuales se jugaron diversos partidos, se presentó a
nivel mundial la Jeroboem (botella de 3 litros) de
Cristal de Louis Roederer, hubo fiestas after polo
y la entrega de trofeos de Lalique.
La pugna por el primer puesto estuvo reñida y
los cuatro equipos participantes se encargaron
de que no faltara emoción con su juego competitivo. Dos jugadores resultaron levemente lesionados, algo que suele ocurrir en los torneos con

Im Finale am Sonntag gewann das Team
Los Mariachis in einem spannenden Match,
das um ganze sieben Minuten in die Verlängerung ging, gegen das Team 4Polo Management
mit 5:4. Roman Fortunato siegte im Spiel um
Platz drei gegen Ibiza Delivers.
Der Wettkampf hatte bereits am Freitag mit
einem Freundschaftsspiel zwischen Roman
Fortunato und Los Mariachis begonnen. Am
Samstagnachmittag wurden zwei Spiele aus-

plated. Only 200 bottles in the world, 8 of
which are available in Spain: one in Madrid,
one in Marbella, one in Barcelona and the
other five in Ibiza. n

otra en Madrid, en Barcelona y las otras cinco
en Ibiza. n

Außerdem führte Lalique, offizieller Trophäenpartner des Turniers, seine Trophäe vor, die
speziell für diesen Polo Cup graviert wurde.

etween the 12th and 14th of July, the
fourth edition of the Ibiza Polo Beach Cup
took place. More than 30 players came from
countries such as Argentina, UK, Austria,
Australia, Germany, Italy, Nigeria, New
Zealand and participated in the tournament.
The event took place at the Ibiza Polo Club, a
meeting point for polo players around the
world.
In the first match of the day, the final
games for the Hierbas de Ibiza Cup were
played, and the team Ibiza Style won by 4-3
against Lio Polo Team, celebrating their welldeserved prizes. This match was followed by
the fight for the Atzaró Cup. In the final
Mucci’s defeated the team La Dolfina by 5-4.
Later, the time for the women’s trophy

4° Ibiza Polo Beach Cup. Participaron del
torneo más de treinta jugadores oriundos de
Argentina, Reino Unido, Austria, Australia,
Alemania, Italia, Nigeria, Nueva Zelanda y más.
Además de intensos partidos de polo, los invitados pudieron disfrutar de los desfiles de la diseñadora Francesca Gisse, y bailar con el DJ K.O.
El evento se llevó a cabo en el Ibiza Polo Club,
punto de encuentro para polistas de todo el
mundo. Principiantes, amateurs y profesionales
ya pueden jugar al polo en un destino diferente
como es Ibiza.
En el primer encuentro se jugò la Final por la
Copa Hierbas de Ibiza, donde el conjunto de
Ibiza Style venció por 4 a 3 a Lio Polo Team.
Luego comenzó la final por la Copa Atzaró
donde Mucci´s le ganó a La Dolfina Polo Team
por 5 a 4.
Mas tarde llegó el turno de la definición del

des Ibiza Polo Cups statt. Mehr als 30 Spieler aus Ländern wie Argentinien, Großbritannien, Österreich, Australien, Deutschland,
Italien, Nigeria, Neuseeland nahmen an dem
Turnier teil. Das Event fand im Ibiza Polo Club
statt, einem Treffpunkt für Polospieler aus der
ganzen Welt.
Das erste Spiel des Tages war der Kampf um
den Hierbas de Ibiza Cup. Hier gewann das
Team Ibiza Style mit 4:3 gegen das Lio Team.
Im darauffolgenden Spiel kämpften die Mannschaften Mucci’s und La Dolfina um den Atzaró
Cup. Mucci’s ging mit 5:4 als Sieger aus dem
Kampf hervor.
Im Spiel der Frauen konnte das Team Air
Europa die Trophäe mit nach Hause nehmen.
Alexandra Bataller Pfeifer (+2), Fiona Casajuana
(+4) und Diane Garland (+6) schlugen das Team
Atzaró mit Francesca Guisse (+2), Uneku

Albert Scholl (+2), Matia Iglesias (+4) and
Walter Garbuglia (+6) of the polo team Scholl

In addition to the intense polo games, the
guests were able to enjoy designer Francesca
Gisse’s fashion parades, and dance with DJ
K.O.. The day finished with good music and
an Argentinian asado for the guests, who

delicioso asado argentino para todos los presentes que se quedaron disfrutando de la magnífica noche de Ibiza. n

A mediados de julio, el piloto de flyNAO Marc
llevó al futbolista Christian Lell, actualmente
jugando para el equipo español Levante UD, de
Benidorm a Ibiza para pasar el fin de semana.
Este vuelo dio la oportunidad de hacer un viaje
alrededor de la isla. IBIZA STYLE estaba a
bordo de este vuelo para disfrutar de las espectaculares vistas desde la cabina. La costa de
Ibiza y Tagomago y las aguas cristalinas y turquesas de Formentera, llenas de yates, fueron
una gran experiencia que vivimos desde una
perspectiva aérea. Después, el helicóptero pasó

hotel y llevarla directamente al Beach Polo Cup,
en el Club de Polo.

ab und brachten sie zum Beach Polo Cup adirekt auf den Platz des Polo Clubs Ibiza.
