On the first Sunday of Lent, catechumens
and candidates preparing to be received
into the full communion of the Catholic
Church at Easter are sent from their parishes
to participate in the Rite of Election and
the Call to Continuing Conversion at St.
Thomas More Cathedral.
El Primer Domingo de Cuaresma, los
catecúmenos y candidatos que se preparan

The Rite of Election reminds the
catechumens that they are “elect,” that is,
“chosen,” by God to be members of His
holy people by virtue of their celebration of
the sacrament of Baptism.

The Call to Continuing Conversion
