St. Francis of Assisi Parish is a community of disciples, united through our love of Jesus Christ and our shared Catholic Faith. We joyfully respond to our personal conversion and the call of the Holy Spirit by reflecting the love of the Father through evangelization and

Come spend with us a special time with the Lord of
Divine Mercy at Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and
Benediction accompanied by the Chaplet of Divine Mercy
at 3:00 pm in the Church in English and at 3:00 pm in the
Chapel in Spanish.
Fr. Zach will be off on his Easter break this Monday
through Wednesday.
We will be having the Women’s ACTS Retreat from
next Thursday evening till the closing 11:30 am Mass on
Sunday. Please pray for our ladies as they reflect upon
Adoration, Community, Theology, and Service. I will have
the honor of accompanying them on this beautiful spiritual
journey.
I would like for you to know what has been
happening in our Hispanic community with an exemplary
program of spiritual outreach. We have had a very blessed
Holy Week for our community with the Hispanic Ministry
walking door to door to bring the Good News in a nearby
Frisco neighborhood. The last two years a growing group of
missionary families has been visiting the Frisco
neighborhoods to reflect on the Gospel, sharing the
teachings of the Church and encouraging them to receive
sacraments. This year over 50 of our missionaries visited
the neighborhood to celebrate Holy Week. On Palm
Sunday they invited the families to participate in the Holy
Week liturgies in our St Francis Parish. On Holy Saturday
missionaries and the community, total of 150 people,
prayed the rosary of the Seven Sorrows of Mary
throughout the neighborhood streets and had spiritual
talks for adults, youth and children. We offered a pot-luck
lunch and a special presentation. Additionally, the
missionaries gifted bibles and rosaries. There was great
excitement and a warm reception of our Catholic
Missionaries by many of the neighborhood’s families,
particularly since they are visited frequently by other
religious organizations. We were particularly blessed for
the participation of a priest and consecrated women. The
priest offered Confessions for the families in the
community and the consecrated women led the rosary. It
is our commission as Christians to take the Good News of
Jesus to the streets, and we would like to extend an
invitation to your family to participate in future missions.

Tendremos el Retiro de ACTS de mujeres en inglés a partir del próximo jueves en la tarde concluyendo
en la Misa del domingo a las 11:30 am. Por favor oren
por nuestras señoras mientras reflexionan sobre la Adoración, Comunidad, Teología y Servicio. Tendré el honor
de acompañarlas en esta maravillosa jornada espiritual.
Hemos tenido una bendecida Semana Santa en
nuestra comunidad con el Ministerio Hispano tocando
puerta por puerta para llevar la Buena Nueva en una
comunidad en el área de Frisco. Los últimos dos años ha
crecido el grupo de Familia Misionera visitando casas en
el área de Frisco para reflexionar el Evangelio, compartir
las enseñanzas de la Iglesia y motivándolas a recibir los
sacramentos. Este año más de 50 de nuestros misioneros visitaron casas para celebrar las liturgias en la Semana Santa en nuestra parroquia de San Francisco. El Sábado Santo familias misioneras y de la comunidad, alrededor de 150 personas, rezaron el rosario de los Siete Dolores de María en las calles de la colonia y tuvieron pláticas espirituales para adultos, jóvenes y niños. Tuvimos
una convivencia durante el almuerzo y una presentación
especial de vida de Santos. También, los misioneros obsequiaron biblias y rosarios. Había una gran emoción y
una recepción muy cálida de los misioneros católicos de
parte de las familias de la colonia, particularmente ya
que con frecuencia ellos son visitados por otras organizaciones religiosas. El sacerdote confesó a las familias de
la comunidad y las consagradas dirigieron el rosario junto con las familias que nos recibieron en cada estación.
Es nuestra misión como cristianos llevar la Buena Nueva
de Jesús a las calles, y nos gustaría extender esta invitación a su familia a participar en futuros eventos de misiones.
