Yineth reconstruye su historia y sus múltiples trasformaciones que
suceden dentro de un período de guerra delimitado entre un proceso
de paz y otro. Dentro de estos 17 años encontramos las caras de un
personaje que se ha reinventado sobre nombres olvidados, Yineth es el
séptimo. Una niña guerrillera, una madre de clase media, una ejecutiva
del gobierno, componen su retrato.
Yineth reconstructs her story and her multiple transformations that
take place in a delimited period of war between two peace processes.
Within these 17 years we see the faces of a character that has
reinvented itself with forgotten names, Yineth is the seventh one. A
guerrilla girl, a middle-class mother and an executive working for the
government create her portrait.

Aires en la carrera de Iluminación y Cámara, realizó
varios cortos premiados en el ámbito académico,
alternándose entre el rubro de dirección y el de
fotografía
Trabajó como asistente de dirección en el proyecto
multicultural “ Aid el-kebir “ , un cortometraje de
ficción realizado en la ciudad de Torino - Italia,
financiado por el Gobierno Italiano. Fue Asistente de
dirección de Alias María, seleccionada en Un Certain
Regard del Festival de Cine de Cannes. Directora
del proyecto “ Locutorio”, un documental con una
clara impronta experimental que ganó el fondo de
desarrollo para guión de documental del INCAA.
Actualmente trabaja en el documental Nombre de
guerra: Alias Yineth

Lighting. Carried out several short films awarded
in the academic circles, alternating between the

Director y guionista colombiano radicado
actualmente en Los Ángeles. Vivió por 12
años en Brasil. Realizó estudios de dirección y
guión en la EICTV de Cuba en 2001 y 2003.
Fue director del Instituto Estatal de Cine del
Sur de Brasil (IECINE) en 2014. Su último
largometraje de ficción “SIMONE” (2013) fue
lanzado comercialmente en 6 países. Reconocido
documentalista, participó con sus films de
festivales como San Francisco (FRAMELINE),
Cartagena, Mar del Plata, Tribeca (TCFF), Torino,
Uruguay, Geneve, Cartagena, Bogotá, LABRFF
Los Angeles, entre otros, así como en los
mercados de Berlin, Ventana Sur , AFM y Hong
Kong.
Colombian writer and director living in Los
Angeles currently. He lived for 12 years in
Brazil. He studied directing and screenwriting

Director’s note
El proyecto surge a partir de un intercambio de
ideas entre la actriz Daniela Escobar y el director
Juan Zapata, que tenían en común la necesidad de
retratar el punto de vista femenino al respecto de la
dificultad de amar después de un profundo luto, sea
este emocional o físico.
Este film es un drama que transita de forma
experimental entre la estética documental y
ficcional, en un estilo hibrido ya definido por el
director en trabajos anteriores como el premiado
SIMONE, (2013).
This project came life after an exchange of ideas
between the protagonist Daniela Escobar and
the director Juan Zapata, who both felt it was
important to portray a woman’s point of view when
dealing with the challenge of believing that love can
still exist after a devastating loss.
It is a fictional drama shot in an experimental
manner with a documentary-esque feel. This
hybrid-style of shooting was previously used in the
director’s last feature film ‘SIMONE.’
En este film se asumen como personajes las
ciudades por las cuales Alice transita, así como
su estado emocional. Con una camera abierta a
la libertad del acaso y atenta a la capacidad de
los actores de improvisar e interactuar con las
circunstancias que se presentan. La camera esta
siempre próxima e intima.
Este film es una declaración de respeto al deseo de
amar de la forma que soñamos, sin conformismos.
Es un acto de valentía para aquellos que aun
creen en el valor de este sentimiento y que nunca
desistieron de vivirlo plenamente a pesar de los
obstáculos que la vida nos presenta. Deseo un film
que nos recuerde que debemos seguir siempre en
frente sin importar las circunstancias.

The Apprentice
Pablo Dalesio tiene 21 años pero se siente viejo. La vida es eso que
transcurre entre sus horas como aprendiz de cocina y los robos menores
que realiza con su grupo de amigos. Sin embargo, esta no será una
semana más en la vida de Pablo. Su Padre ha vuelto después de muchos
años. Tiene mujer e hijo, y no quiere reconciliar nada.
Pablo Dalesio is 21 but he feels old already. Life is what goes on
between beeing a cook apprentice and the small bulglarys with his
Friends. This week his father returns to town with his new wife and
son. It’s been many years since he left and he is not interested on
reconcile anything.

Director
Nació en 1984. Cursó estudios de Cine en
CIEVYC, de donde egresó en 2007. Ha
participado en talleres de Guión en Argentina
y Venezuela. Su cortometraje “El Clarinetista”
16mm B/N. Participó en el Short Film Corner de
Cannes, e integró las competencias del Festival
de La Habana y Mar del Plata.
En 2014 funda su productora DLCINE, con sede
en Buenos Aires. Gana el concurso del INCAA
y en 2015 filma su ópera prima “El Aprendiz”,
escrita y dirigida por él. La película fue elegida
para participar en el 31 Festival Internacional de
Cine en Guadalajara en la sección Guadalajara
en Construcción. Allí resultó ganadora, y fue
premiada por la distribuidora norteamericana
CINEMAVEN. Actualmente la película se
encuentra en estado de postproducción.

Opera prima de Tomás De Leone
Tomás De Leone was born in Buenos Aires in
1984. He studied at CIEVYC and had his degree
in 2007. He participated of many worshops and
lab programs for writters. His shortfilm “The
Clarinettist” was selected for the Short Film
Corner of Cannes. Also integrated the Oficial
Competition of La Habana Film Festival and Mar
Del Plata Film Festival.
In 2014 he founded DLCINE. “The Apprentice”
is his first feature film. The project was financed
with the “First Feature Films award” INCAA
gave to the project. The movie was selected for
the 31 International film festival of Guadalajara,
WIP section, winning the award for distribution
of CINEMAVEN. Currently the movie is in
postproduction.

Director’s note
Escribí EL APRENDIZ guiado por el deseo. No tenía
muchas cosas de las cuales aferrarme en mi vida
y me abracé a la voluntad como sólo lo hace un
hombre que está desesperado.
Me preguntaba si con eso bastaría. Estas son unas
notas previas al rodaje
“Pablo, el protagonista de la película, sostiene
su deseo cuando no hay nada alrededor a lo que
pueda abrigarse; madre alcohólica, padre con
nueva familia y sin interés por verlo, y grupo de
amigos que optan por una manera delictiva. Lo que
Pablo busca es un modo personal de estar-en-el
–mundo. Un modo que lo ligue a los demás según
su propia moral.
Los paisajes fríos y ventosos del invierno se
aparecen como escenarios de su desamparo. Pablo
no tiene lugar adonde ir. Realmente no lo tiene.
Y la cocina al menos, le impone sus ritmos y su
disciplina. Pablo cree que tal vez si se apega al
trabajo, al silencio y a seguir la corriente, las cosas
se ubiquen solas… Pero como sabemos, nada de
eso sucede…Para que el mundo a su alrededor
se transforme , él tiene que tomar una decisión.
Involucrarse consigo mismo…Sujetarse, loca y
salvajemente a su deseo…”
Al vapor de estos pensamientos es que concebí
esta historia.
I wrote THE APPRENTICE fueled by desire. At that
time I didn’t have many things to hold on to in my
life and I embraced desire like a desperate man. I
questioned if that would be enough. Here are some
of my preliminary notes before this film was shot:
“Pablo, the protagonist of the film, sustains his
inner desire when there is nothing else around
him that he can rely on: an alcoholic mother, a
father with a new family with no interest in seeing
him, and a group of friends that opt for a criminal
lifestyle. What Pablo is searching for is his own way
of existing in the world, a way that connects with
others according to his own values.
Scenes of cold and windy winter landscapes reflect
his helplessness. Pablo has nowhere to go. He really
doesn’t. In the kitchen at least, there is a world with
its own rhythms and disciplines. Pablo believes
that maybe if he focuses on his work there, quietly,
things will work themselves out. But as we know,
none of that happens. To change his world, he has
to make a tough decision. Face himself. Commit
fully and wildly to his inner desire…”
In the mix of all these thoughts is how I conceived
this story.

Cuatro alumnas en su último año de secundaria roban la Prueba de
Selección Universitaria (PSU) y escapan a la playa para memorizar
las respuestas. Sin embargo, el verano, la fiesta y los hombres las
desvían de su plan perfecto perdiendo la única copia a días de rendir el
examen. Ahora las cuatro deberán poner su amistad a prueba si quieren
recuperarla y convertirse en puntaje nacional.
Four female students in their senior year steal the College Selection
Test, taking a trip to the beach to memorize every answer. However,
summer is upon them, bringing crazy parties and handsome men to
their doorstep, deviating them from the perfect plan: losing the only
copy of the exam. Now, the four of them will have to prove themselves
if they want to recover the test and achieve what they wished for in
the first place.
Notas de Dirección
“Prueba De Actitud” es un film
adolescente sobre ese momento en que
tienes que elegir que hacer con tu vida,
justo a una edad en que tus hormonas
no te dejan pensar. Es una comedia de
aventuras femeninas, que se remonta a
una tradición del cine de John Hughes
o lo logrado por Tina Fey en Mean Girls,
pero con el lenguaje del 2016 y la visión
latinoamericana del mundo. Al terminar
la secundaria (o “educación media”
como decimos en Chile) muchos vivimos
el terror que infunden las familias por
razones sociales, económicas o culturales
por tener que entrar a la universidad
supuestamente correcta. Algunos tienen
la suerte de tener un amigo, unos padres
con conciencia (casi imposible) o acceso
a alguna información que te ayude a
entender que esta decisión es mucho más
grande y compleja que un formulario de
aplicación en el cual puedes tener dispar
suerte. “Prueba de actitud” es de esas
películas que nos recuerdan lo hermoso
y absurdo de la adolescencia, con sentido
del humor, chicas y chicos atractivos, una
banda sonora increíble y fiestas que uno
nunca termina de olvidar.
Statement
“Attitude Test” is a coming-of-age film
about the time when we have to face the
hard decision of what to do with our lives,
at an age where logic isn’t the strongest
trait in one’s immature mind. Following
the style and tradition of John Hughes
or what Tina Fey achieved some years
ago with “Mean Girls”, the film adds to
the mix a 2016 vocabulary that millenials
currently relate to and a latino point of
view of how to overcome the impossible.
When we graduate high school, many of
us live with the fear of getting accepted in
the right university (supposedly) for social,
economical and/or cultural reasons. Some
are lucky enough to have a friend, parents
with some awareness (improbable) or
access to information that will help them
understand this decision is far greater
and much more complex than a multiple
choice questionnaire. “Attitude Test”
is one of those movies that makes us
reminisce on how beautiful and absurd
growing up is, filled with a disruptive sense
of humor, a young and gorgeous cast, an
incredible soundtrack and parties you’ll
never be able to forget.

Fabrizio Copano es una personalidad de radio
y TV, guionista, actor y uno de los pioneros
del stand-up en Chile. Miembro fundador
del aclamado programa de TV “El Club de
la Comedia”, ha girado por todo Chile e
internacionalmente con el grupo latino “La Culpa
es de Colón”, el cual se muestra en el canal
“Comedy Central”. Recientemente fue incluido en
“Más Mejor”, canal de Broadway Video (creadores
de Saturday Night Live) enfocado en un público
latino, liderado por Fred Armisen (Portlandia).
Fabrizio Copano is a radio and TV personality,
scriptwriter, actor and one of the pioneers of the
stand-up comedy movement in Chile. Founding
member of the acclaimed TV show “El Club de
la Comedia”, he’s toured throughout Chile, as
well as abroad with the latino-diverse comedy
group “La Culpa es de Colón”, broadcasted on
the TV network “Comedy Central. Recently added
to “Más Mejor”, Broadway Video’s (creators of
Saturday Night Live) new Latino focused channel,
led by Fred Armisen (Portlandia).

A Movie Life
“O filme da minha vida” es una película de largo-metraje de ficción
adaptado del libro “Un padre de película”, de António Skármeta, un
escritor chileno de libros muy bonitos y delicados como “El cartero de
Neruda”. El guión fue adaptado por Selton Mello y Marcelo Vindicatto,
los mismos responsables por escribir “O palhaço” y “Feliz Natal”. La
película es una sabrosa mezcla de comedia y drama, con una narrativa
nostálgica que nos lleva a soñar. Es un gran homenaje al cine. La
película se pasa en la Serra Gaúcha en los años 60, con magníficos
paisajes y una linda historia de reestructuración de una familia. Una
película que muestra el proceso de maduración de un joven, su relación
con la família, sus deseos, sus dilemas y amores. Es un rito de pasaje
de la juventud para la vida adulta. Una historia llena de lirismos, con
personajes que tienen un pie en la realidad y otro en las nubes.
A Movie Life is a fictional feature film based on the novel “A Distant
Father” by Antonio Skármeta, Chilean author of beautiful and delicate
works such as The Postman. The adapted screenplay was written
four hands by Selton Mello and Marcelo Vindicatto, same duo that
wrote The Clown and December. The film is a tasty mix of drama and
comedy, with a nostalgic narrative that makes you dream. A great
tribute to cinema itself. Set in the Serra Gaucha in the 60s, with
magnificent landscapes and a beautiful story of Family restructuring.
A film that shows the maturing process of a young man, his close
relationship with the family, his anxieties, dilemmas and loves.
A rite of passage from youth to aldulthood. A film impregnated with
lyricism, characters who have one foot in reality and the other in the
clouds.

en todo el país. Actúa desde niño en telenovelas
y teleseries, y al largo de su carrera - que ya
dura más de 30 años – desarrolló una sólida
experiencia en el cine, captivando al público y a la
crítica con sus trabajos.
Selton Mello is a beloved and respected actor
in Brazil. He has been acting since he was a boy
in several TV series. Throughout his 30-year
career, he has also developed a solid experience
in cinema, attracting both audiences and critics
alike.
Como actor, fue premiado incontables veces en
festivales nacionales e internacionales. Como
director, comandó por cuatro años el programa
Tarja Preto, en Canal Brasil. También fue director
de videoclips para MTV y de documentales para
Multishow y Canal Brasil.
As an actor, he has been awarded several times
at national and international film festivals.
Su estreno como director de cine fue en
2006, con el cortometraje Quando o Tempo
Cair, seleccionado para festivales en Brasil y
en el exterior. Su estreno como director de
largometraje fue con el premiado “Feliz Natal”,
con producción de Bananeira Filmes.
Su segunda película, “O Palhaço”, logró encantar
crítica y público, con más de un millón y
quinientos mil espectadores. Recibió más de 50
premios en Brasil y en el exterior, y fue elegida

As a director, he was the head of the TV show
Tarja Preta for four years, on Canal Brasil
network. He has also directed music videos for
MTV and documentary series for both Multishow
and Canal Brasil. His first incursion into films
was in 2006 with a short-film called Quando o
Tempo Cair.
Bananeira Filmes produced his first feature
film, the awarded December (2008). The
well- succeeded partnership was repeated in
The Clown, Mello’s second feature film, which
charmed the audience and critics, and was
watched by an estimate number of 1.5 million
people at the Brazilian commercial exhibition
circuit. It was awarded 50 times in Brazilian
and international festivals and was chosen to
represent Brazil at the Academy Award for Best
Foreign Language.
Recently, Mello has been dedicated to directing
three seasons of the prestigious TV series, Sessão

Director’s note
“Después de la experiencia luminosa con “O
Palhaço”, quedé un buen rato pensando cual sería
mi paso siguiente en el cine.
“After the enlightened experience with The Clown, I
spent a lot of time musing on what my next step in
movies would be.
Esbocé ideas nuevas, originales, busqué algo que
me instigara, pero nada me arrebató.
I jotted down new ideas, original ones, and also
went looking for something out there that incited
me, but nothing carried me away.
Entonces un día el gran escritor chileno Antonio
Skármeta, autor de algunas preciosidades como El
Cartero de Neruda, entró en contacto conmigo y
con Vania Catani, productora y mi compañera de
trabajo.
Estaba interesado en que la película de su libro “Un
padre de película” fuera realizada en Brasil, debido
al cariño y la admiración que tiene por nuestra
cultura.
En un primer momento, pensé que se tratase de
una broma telefónica, pero pronto me di cuenta
que no, de hecho él tenía un deseo verdadero y
creía que yo era la persona correcta para hacer
la transposición de las páginas de su libro para la
pantalla del cine.
Nos identificamos inmediatamente, eso suele pasar
con los soñadores.
Cuando me entregué al libro, descubrí que tenía
en manos mi próxima película: el destino puso en
mi cuello una obra que es un territorio fértil para la
imaginación.
Todo lo que aprecio aparece en la obra: una gran
aventura emocional, personajes cautivantes, una
trama divertida y conmovedora; o sea, finalmente
había encontrado el proyecto que me llevaría a
crear mi tercero largometraje.
Conforme Luis Fernando Veríssimo, asistir a una
película es la segunda mejor cosa que hacer en el
oscuro.
La primera todos sabemos qué es: asistir a una gran
película.
Ahí está nuestro más grande sueño: transformar
O Filme da Minha vida en la película de la vida de
mucha gente.”
That’s when the great Chilean writer Antonio
Skármeta, the author of gems such as The
Postman, got hold of me and Vania Catani, my
producer and partner.
His wish was that his book A distant father was
produced in Brazil, due to the affection and
admiration he nutria for our culture.
At first I thought it was a prank call, then I realized
it wasn’t. He was truly there with a clear will,
and thought that the person who should do the
transposition of his book’s pages to the movie
screen was me.
We got along right away, as this usually happens
with dreamers.
When I read the book, I found out that I was holding
my next film in my hands. Fate dropped on my
lap a work that is a fertile breeding ground for
imagination.
Everything I esteem is there: a great, emotional
adventure, catchy characters, a fun and moving
plot. At last, I had found the project that would lead
to the creation of my third feature.
According to Luis Fernando Veríssimo, watching a
film is the second best thing to be done in the dark.
Everybody knows the first: to watch a great film.
That is our dream, making The Movie of My Life the
movie of the life of many people”.
