This summer, Milwaukee will see one
of its finest Mexican Restaurants
complete an expansion project in the
Burnham Park neighborhood!
Miguel Huerta started El Señorial
Restaurant (1901 S 31st St) in 2001. “I
dreamed for many years to have a
business of my own; one that would
be a stable source of jobs for the
community,” Miguel shared. Over
the years, the restaurant has become
a “go-to” favorite for birthdays,
graduation celebrations, or families
looking for a fun night out. On Friday
and Saturday nights, the restaurant fills
with groups sharing the restaurant’s
signature “parillada” platters or
enjoying other authentic Mexican
dishes while Mariachis wind their way
throughout the restaurant, serenading
the crowd.

In an effort to meet this demand that
often outpaced available tables, Miguel
decided to expand the restaurant at the
current site to stay in the community that
has supported his business throughout the
years. Miguel loves owning his business in
Burnham Park for many reasons,
particularly the friendly and supportive
neighbors.
The expansion was an immense
financial and structural undertaking, and included joining
the current site with the neighboring building, doubling
the seating capacity and creating an outdoor dining
patio. Thus far, the restaurant has hired four new
employees to support service in the expanded area.
The final project also incorporates major façade
renovations that will improve both the look and
consistency of the two buildings while setting a new
precedent for façades on the block.

successful restaurant expansion!
