Catholic Ministries Appeal – Raised in Christ As Catholics, we understand that we are not just individuals seeking our own interests. We are called to work together, as a parish, as a diocese, and a church united across the world under Pope Francis. We are called to be good stewards using our time, talent, and treasure to help proclaim the gospel and care for those in need. In doing so, we are all “Raised in Christ.” Through your contribution to the CMA, our diocese works to all be “Raised in Christ.” Our diocese helps people in need by supporting Catholic Charities, campus ministry, and with our cultural diversity reaches out to people of different ethnic backgrounds. You can find out more about the CMA on the diocesan website at http://www.dor.org/index.cfm/stewardship/annual -appeal . Our first report shows we have received $4,310.00 (9.24%) toward our goal. Please pray about what you might give to the CMA. If you have any questions about the CMA please feel free to ask Fr. Jeff. The local Public Square Rosary Rally will take place at Newark’s Central Park Gazebo Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 12:00 pm. The Rosary & Altar Society m eeting will be Wednesday, October 19th @ 7 pm in the church hall. We will say the Rosary, have pizza and have our meeting. All ladies of the parish are welcome. Please bring a canned food item for the food closet. See you there! Apple Pie Bake supplies are needed…The annual Apple Pie Bake is scheduled for November 19th. We are now collecting supplies. We need CRISCO BRAND SHORTENING, sugar, flour and cinnamon. A box is on the porch of the Parish Center and in the gathering space for donation drop-off. Thank you so much for your support. 2.
