Salida a pie acompañados de nuestro guía hacia el casco antiguo de la ciudad, el denominado Madrid de los Austrias, para conocer la importante Plaza Mayor, y caminar
bajando por el Arco de Cuchilleros y las sinuosas calles alrededor de la Plaza de la Villa
núcleo del Madrid medieval, donde se encuentran los edificios más antiguos, Casa y
Torre de los Lujanes, donde estuvo alojado prisionero el rey francés François I, la Casa
de Cisneros, de estilo plateresco, y la Casa de la Villa, Ayuntamiento de Madrid hasta
2007. En la calle Bailén vemos el exterior neoclásico de la Catedral de la Almudena,
finalizando nuestro paseo en la Plaza de Oriente donde se sitúa el Palacio Real.

A walking tour with our guide through the old quarters of the city, known as Madrid de
los Austrias, (Habsburg dinasty) to know the impressive Plaza Mayor, and walk down
the stairs of Arch of Cuchilleros and the winding streets and alleys around Plaza de la
Villa, core of medieval Madrid where we´ll see the oldest buildings, House and Tower of
Lujanes, where French King François I was lodged prisoner by Spanish Emperor Carlos
V, House of Cisneros, of early renaissance style, and Casa de la Villa, former City Hall
until 2007. Then we´ll see the great neoclassic building of the Cathedral of Almudena,
ending our visit in the beautiful Plaza de Oriente where the Royal Palace is located.

After our walking tour through Madrid old quarters we´ll visit the inside of the impressive
Royal Palace, former residence of the Spanish Kings and beautifully furnished and decorated. You will be able to admire the official Reception Hall, the Museum area, the Royal
Chapel, Hall of the Throne and the private rooms of King Carlos III and Queen Isabel II.

La ciudad de Avila es una de las más antiguas de España, con sus murallas
del siglo XI magníficamente conservadas que rodean la ciudad antigua y dan
el aspecto de una ciudad castillo, ejemplo de una ciudad fortificada medieval.
Alberga gran número de iglesias románicas, palacios góticos y su catedral del
siglo XII también fortificada. La ciudad es cuna de Santa Teresa, representante
del misticismo católico español. Se visitan los exteriores de la Catedral, la
Basílica Románica de San Vicente, plaza Mayor, y una breve ruta teresiana
por la Iglesia de San Juan Bautista, Plaza de San Juan de la Cruz y la Casa
Convento de Santa Teresa.
Segovia es rica en monumentos históricos, destacando su majestuoso
Acueducto Romano de la época de Augusto, la Catedral Gótica, última en
este estilo construida en España, y el Alcázar del siglo XII, antigua residencia
fortificada de los reyes de Castilla, espectacular construcción que domina el
paisaje castellano. Ambas ciudades, Avila y Segovia, son Ciudades Patrimonio
de la Humanidad.

Avila is one of the oldest cities in Spain, surrounded by very well preserved
medieval walls from the XI century, resembles rather an immense castle,
and it is the best sample of a fortified city. The old quarters hold an important number of Romanesque Churches, Gothic Palaces and its XII century
Cathedral, the first Gothic one built in Spain, is also fortified. The city is the
birth place of Ste. Therese, source of the Spanish Catholic mysticism. Visit
the outskirts of the Cathedral, the Romanesque Basilica of San Vicente,
Mayor Square and a brief walk through its old streets to see the Convent
of Ste. Therese.
The city of Segovia is rich in historical monuments. Old Roman city, still
preserves the magnificent Roman Aqueduct from the time of Emperor
Augustus. The elegant Cathedral, and its Alcazar fortress, the most spectacular castle in Spain, are the most representative. Both towns, Avila and
Segovia, are “Heritage of Mankind cities”.

El Real Sítio de Aranjuez está situado a unos 50 kms de Madrid sobre el río Tajo.
Antiguo lugar de recreo de los Reyes de España, alcanzó su esplendor bajo
el reinado de los Borbones durante el siglo XVIII. Las ideas de la Ilustración
influyeron en el desarrollo urbanístico de este frondoso lugar que fue declarado
como Paisaje Cultural Patrimonio de la Humanidad por UNESCO, al integrar
la arquitectura de sus palacios con el diseño de los bellos jardines y bosque.
Se visita el Palacio Real, con sus bellos salones magníficamente decorados,
el salón del trono de Isabel II, Gabinete de Porcelana al estilo oriental… y los
hermosos Jardines de Aranjuez que inspiraron a poetas, músicos y pintores.
Posteriormente veremos el Museo de Falúas Reales, que cuenta con espectaculares embarcaciones que los Reyes utilizaban para navegar por el Río Tajo.
Destaca la falúa de Carlos IV y la góndola de Felipe V. Se pueden ver asimismo
pinturas de la escuadra española y utensilios para la navegación de la época.

The Royal Site of Aranjuez is located about 50 kms. from Madrid on the banks of
the Tagus River. This was a place of leisure for the Spanish Kings and reached
its magnificence under the reign of the Bourbons dynasty during the XVIII century. The ideas of the Enlightenment adapted to the urban development of cities,
embodied here in a balance between nature and architecture. This is why it was
declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
We´ll visit the inside of the beautiful Royal Palace with its fully furnished and decorated rooms and sections, like the Oriental room, the room of the Throne of Queen
Isabel II and the magnificent Gardens of Aranjuez surrounding the Palaces which
inspired poets, artists and musicians. Next we´ll visit the Royal Boatbuilding
Museum, built to keep the launches and vessels that were used to sail the River
Tajo. This museum exhibits recreation vessels from the River Tajo fleet that date
from the XVIII and XIX centuries, along with nautical instruments from the reign of
Charles IV and Phillip V.

El Monasterio de El Escorial fue edificado en el siglo XVI bajo el mandato del
poderoso rey Felipe II, y concebido como Residencia, Monasterio y Panteón
de la Casa Real, convirtiéndose en un símbolo de la grandeza del imperio
Español. Ha sido declarado conjunto Histórico Artístico, y Patrimonio de la
Humanidad. Se visita el Monasterio, el Palacio Real, Panteón de los Reyes y de
los Infantes, Salas Capitulares, Claustro de los Cuatro Evangelistas y Basílica.
El Valle de los Caidos es un impresionante monumento erigido en memoria de
los caídos durante la Guerra Civil Española de 1936. Situado en el bello Valle de
Cuelgamuros, en la Sierra de Guadarrama, esta colosal obra consta de la basílica y cripta excavada en la roca de una montaña, y coronada por la imponente
cruz de mas de 150 metros de altura. Se incluye la entrada al Valle, y visita al
interior de la Basílica.

The Monastery of El Escorial was built under the reign of the powerful King Philip
II to be a Residence for the Spanish Kings, Monastery and Pantheon of the Royal
Family, becoming as a symbol of the great power of the Spanish Empire on the
time. The monument was declared of Artistic and Historic interest, and “Mankind
Heritage”. The visit include the Monastery, the Cloister of the Four Evangelists,
the Palace of Philip II, Pantheons of the Royal Family, the Chapterhouses, and
the Basilica. The Valley of the Fallen is a monument built as a memorial of those
who died during the Spanish Civil War in 1936. Located in a beautiful valley in
the Mountains of Guadarrama, this impressive work has a colossal cross over 150
mts. high, and the Basilica and Crypt excavated in the hard rock under the mountain. This tour includes the entrance to the Valley and the visit inside the Basilica.

UNESCO. Toledo es una Ciudad Museo y posee magníficos ejemplos de arquitectura de distintas épocas y estilos: mudéjar, románico, gótico, renacentista, barroco... que dejaron como legado las distintas culturas y civilizaciones
que habitaron, y a menudo convivieron, dentro de sus murallas.
Sus estrechas y empedradas calles son testigos del antiguo esplendor de la
ciudad. Se recomienda uso de calzado cómodo.
This monumental city is located one hour drive from Madrid. The city is like
an immense museum of great beauty and holds some of the most genuine
historical Spanish monuments. Its old gothic and renaissance buildings, its
narrow streets and alleys, testify old days of magnificence. The old city has
been considered as a National Monument, and declared World Heritage City
by UNESCO. Toledo is also named the city of Three Cultures, as for a long
period of time, the Christian, Islamic and Jewish lived peacefully within its
walls. Use of comfortable shoes is recommended.

A la llegada se inicia la Visita a pié de Toledo con un paseo por la ciudad para llegar a la Plaza del Ayuntamiento y contemplar la fachada de la Catedral Primada,
de estilo gótico, el antiguo Palacio de Justicia y el Ayuntamiento; caminaremos
por las estrechas calles del antiguo Barrio Judío para entrar en la Iglesia de
Santo Tomé, y admirar el monumental cuadro “El entierro del Conde Orgaz”, obra
cumbre de El Greco; continuación hacia la Sinagoga de Santa María la Blanca,
testigo de la convivencia de las “Tres Culturas”, el Monasterio de San Juan de

Posteriormente visita a una fábrica de Damasquinado, conocido arte toledano

Upon arrival we start with a panoramic walking tour of Toledo, entering to the
old quarters to visit the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, and admire the facade of
the impressive Primate Cathedral, the old Palace of Justice and the City Hall.
We’ll continue our walk through the old Jewish quarter with its narrow streets
to visit the Church of St. Tomé, with the very famous painting of El Greco “The
Burial of Count Orgaz”, the old Synagogue of Ste. Maria la Blanca, which
remain as a symbol of the coexistence of the “Three Cultures”, Monastery of
San Juan de los Reyes and the house Museum Victorio Macho, located over
River Tagus with outstanding views. The house holds works of the famous
sculptor and here we’ll see a short audiovisual movie about the city. We’ll also visit a typical factory of Damasquino, well known handicraft art of Toledo.
