Parent Teacher Conferences
Thank you for coming to your child’s parent teacher
conference. Many of you turned in the school survey while
you were here. We appreciate your feedback. If you didn’t
get a chance to fill one out and drop it off please ask in the
front office for a survey. They are available through the end of
the month. We had a drawing from each day of conferences
for a gift card from Human Bean. And the winners are Jessica
Salazar Magana, Maria Moore, and Mary Rayna. Come to the
office and collect your Human Bean Gift Card at your
convenience. If you missed your child’s conference please
schedule with your child’s teacher as soon as possible!
A Million Thanks!
Our staff would like to say thank you for providing snacks and
meals for our Parent Teacher Conference nights. It was so
thoughtful for the PTG to organize the food donations and for
each of you to donate such delicious food! We feel loved!
Spring Carnival
Our Spring Carnival is in jeopardy of being cancelled.
Currently we have saved the date of Saturday, April 30 from
11am – 1pm to hold the Carnival. But we need volunteers to
help organize, set-up, run, and clean up. We’ve had one
meeting and only 1 volunteer showed up. If we do not get
enough support we will not be able to hold a Spring Carnival
this year. The next volunteer planning meetings are TONIGHT
(Feb. 18) at 5:30pm and Feb. 23 at 6pm. Please come support
or we may not be able to have a Carnival this school year.
Early Check-Out Change
We ask that you do not check your child out of school after
3:30 Tuesdays – Fridays and after 2:00 on Mondays. The end of
the day is just as important as the rest of the day.

No Toys at School

Please help us keep your child’s focus on learning! Do not
allow your child to bring toys to school. This includes stuffed
animals, trading cards, and all electronic devices. If a cell
phone is necessary for your child to have at school, it must be
turned off and kept in their backpacks during the school day.
We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Parking Lot
When dropping off and picking up your child please DO NOT
use the horseshoe. The horseshoe, is the entire horseshoe
shaped drive that goes from the entrance to the exit. It is
restricted for school bus and daycare van use only. Please
park in a safe spot. Do not block neighborhood driveways.
Make a plan where to meet your child after school. Consider
where they will be crossing the street. Set a good example
and use the crosswalks when you cross too. This is especially
important on school party days. DO NOT park in the
horseshoe.
More Important News
Attendance
Our daily goal for attendance is 98% and higher. So far we have
achieved our goal 14 out of 108 possible school days. Our
Mondays and Fridays seem to be our biggest challenge. They are
our lowest attendance days. We begin each day at 8:20.
NED Show Assembly
Our NED Show has been rescheduled to March 10 at 2:30. Mrs.
McCall will need parent volunteers to help with yo-yo sales a few
mornings after the assembly from 8-8:30. Please call 348-2310 if you
can volunteer.
Save the Dates!
State testing for 3-5 grades will be April 4-29. Please do not
schedule any appointments on these dates. It is important students
are here to take these tests. They do much better when taking
them with their classmates. We appreciate your support in getting
your child to school on time and keeping them in school the entire
day, especially on these important testing days. A more specific
schedule will be sent home before Spring Break.

Conferencias de Padres e Maestros
Gracias por venir a las conferencias de su(s) niños. Muchos de

Nuestro Carnaval en la Primavera está en riesgo de ser
cancelado. Hemos guardado la fecha del sábado el 30 de
abril de 11am – 1pm. Pero necesitamos voluntarios para
organizar, arreglar, manejar, y limpiar las estaciones. Hemos
tenido una junta y solamente un voluntario llego. Si no
tenemos suficiente apoyo no podremos tener el Carnaval de
Primavera este año escolar. Nuestra próxima junta será esta
noche (el 18 de febrero) a las 5:30pm y el 23 de febrero a las
6pm. Por favor denos su apoyo o no podremos tener el
Carnaval este año escolar.

No Traigan Juguetes a la Escuela
Por favor ayuden nos en mantener sus hijos(as) ¡enfocados en sus
estudios! No permiten que sus hijos(as) traigan juguetes a la
escuela. Esto incluye animales de peluche, tarjetas de cambiar, o
aparatos eléctricos. Si un celular es necesario, necesita ser
apagado y en la mochila durante clases. No somos responsables
si se pierden o son robados.
Estacionamiento
Cuando deje y recoge su niño(a), por favor NO USE el carril
cercas de la escuela (herradura). Esta área es específicamente y
solamente para los camiones y camionetas de cuidado de
niños(as). Por Favor parquease en un lugar seguro. Evite bloquear
la entrada del vecino. Haga un plan con su niño(a) sobre donde
estará esperando. Considere en donde van a estar cruzando.
Sea el ejemplo y utilice los pasos de peatones. Esto es
especialmente importante durante fiestas o eventos en la
escuela. NO se estacione en la herradura.
Asistencia
Nuestra meta el tener una meta en asistencia de 98% o más alto.
Hasta la fecha lo hemos logrado 14 veces de 108 días de clases.
Los lunes y viernes son los días más difíciles. Son nuestros días más
bajos. Empezamos todos los días A LAS 8:20.
Asamblea de la Presentación de NED
Nuestra presentación de NED fue cambiado para el 10 de marzo
a las 2:30. La Sra. McCall necesita unos voluntarios para que
ayuden con las ventas de los yo-yo, durante la mañana 8:00 –
8:30. Por favor llame al 970-348-2310 si puede ayudar.

Pruebas del Estado para los grados 3°y 5° será del 4-29 de abril.
Por favor no haga citas para sus hijos(as) durante estas fechas. Es
muy importante que los estudiantes estén aquí para tomar el
examen. Hacen mucho mejor cuando es junto con los alumnos
de su clase. Agradecemos su apoyo en traer sus hijos(as) a la
escuela a tiempo y en dejarlos terminar el día en clase. La
agenda con fechas y horarios, se mandara después de
vacaciones.
