PARISH REGISTRATION
We hope that all new residents of
the Wilson area will feel at home at
St. Therese AND will tell us of their
presence by registering so that we
can welcome you.
Every parishioner should be
formally registered. Other wise, it
becomes increasingly difficult to serve parishioners by
issuing letters in connection with Baptism,
Confirmation and Matrimony; it becomes almost
impossible to give recommendations if we do not know
you. In like manner, we cannot verify your
contributions to the Church for tax purposes unless you
use the regular envelopes. Registration forms are
located in the Tower Room, on the website, and in
the Church office during office hours. Also, if you
move out of the parish, please let us know so that we
can wish you a fond farewell, correct our records and
pass along any records you may need.
Won’t you help us help you?
Diocese of Raleigh
Home Mission Society
St. Therese in Wilson has been chosen to be one of
the parishes to promote the new Diocese of Raleigh
Home Mission Society. Special speaker, Deacon
Michel du Sablon from our parish will be with us
on November 26 and 27 to tell us about this newly
formed ministry.
Please welcome Deacon du
Sablon and pray for the success of this new and
important ministry for the Diocese of Raleigh.
Homebound/Sick
Ministry
If you or a loved one cannot
attend
weekend
Mass
(temporarily
or
permanently) because of sickness, injury, recovery
from surgery, etc, one of our homebound ministers
would like to visit you and/or bring you
Communion. Please call the Church office to
schedule a visit.
Any parishioner that would like to bring
Communion to someone homebound, is asked to
call the Church office.
Angel Tree
This Christmas Season
we would like to have an
Angel Tree. This would
hold the wishes of
Wilson County School
children and members
from
the
Tarboro,
Princeville, and other
local communities devastated by the flooding
caused by Hurricane Mathew, who could use a
little cheer and support this time of year.
Bridgette Akins, parishioner and Director of the
Communities in Schools Program and Father Bill
John will collect the names of those to go on the
tree. If you know of a parishioner, who would
also benefit from being included in this project,
please
e-mail
Liz
Perrotto
at
[email protected].
The tree will be ready the Sunday after
Thanksgiving. PLEASE BE SURE TO SIGN UP
FOR THE ANGEL YOU TAKE. We do not
want to lose any Angels!!! There will be people
available after every mass to help you sign up for
an Angel.
We need the gifts wrapped and returned after
each Mass on December 10 and 11, in or der , to
get the gifts delivered in time for Christmas.
Thank you to Brian McCollum for donating
the tree.
Please help us make Christmas
a little brighter for someone in need!
Thank You and God Bless You!

Knights of Columbus
Bishop Eugene McGuinness
Council 4660
Please Remember Us
This Christmas Season!
The Knights of Columbus, Bishop McGuinness
Council 4660, annual "Care and Share" food drive is
underway. The Council collects and distributes
food to area residents who are less fortunate
than others within the Wilson County
community. In past years, we have donated food
baskets to many families who unfortunately, have
minimal means to make ends meet. The Council
turns to you, the St. Therese Parish family, to help
support the Knights of Columbus “Care and Share”
program, and through your generosity we will help
those less fortunate during this coming Holiday
Season. We will be making the distribution to
the families on December 10. In addition to your
monetary donations we also invite you to assist the
Knights in making the deliveries on that day if you
wish.
We really need your monetary donations. There is
always more need than we have the resources to
fulfill. We don’t like turning people away but
without adequate funds we could be forced to do
so. This year as always the need is great. Please
give what you can. No donation is too small.
Please make your check out to the “Knights of
Columbus Council 4660”, and put your check or
cash donation in the "Care and Share"
collection box located in the vestibule during
a weekend Mass or mail to Care and Share,
Bob Watson 1217 Buxton Rd, Wilson NC
27896. A container will also be available to
accept non-perishable food items (please no
glass containers) in the Tower Room at all
Masses. Also, if any of you know of a family
in need, please notify either Dennis
Beichner @239-9701 or Bob Watson @ 2919896 and we will attempt to include them in the
distribution if the resources are adequate.
Thank you so much and may God Bless you
and your family for your support.

SAINTS OF THE DAY
► You expired, Jesus, but the source
of life gushed forth for souls, and
the ocean of mercy opened up for
the whole world.
O Fount of Life, unfathomable
Divine Mercy, envelop the whole
world and empty Yourself out upon
us.
► (Repeat 3 times) O Blood and
Water, which gushed forth from the
Heart of Jesus as a fountain of
Mercy for us, I trust in You!
► Our Father, Hail Mary and the
Apostle's Creed
► For each of the five decades (On
each “Our Father” bead of the
rosary, pray)
Eternal Father, I offer you the Body
and Blood, Soul and Divinity of
Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our
Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for
our sins and those of the whole
world.
► (On each of the 10 “Hail Mary”
beads, pray)
For the sake of His sorrowful
Passion, have mercy on us and on
the whole world.
► Concluding prayer (Repeat 3
times)
Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy
Immortal One, have mercy on us
and on the whole world.
► Optional Closing Prayer
Eternal God, in whom mercy is
endless and the treasury of
compassion inexhaustible, look
kindly upon us and increase Your
mercy in us, that in difficult
moments we might not despair nor
become despondent, but with great
confidence submit ourselves to
Your holy will, which is Love and
Mercy itself.

Tradition teaches us Christ was conceived on the Feast of the
Annunciation. We will watch the parallel development of
“Gabriela” in the womb beginning on March 25--Feast of the
Annunciation until December 25. November 13 (week
34) I’m almost 17 inches long but I’m all curled up so it is
hard to see how tall I am. I like to look around when I’m
awake, but it is hard to see anything – it’s all fuzzy. Ouch! I scratched myself
with my long fingernails. Gabriela has started to move head down because
96% of babies are born that way. Mom’s uterus is stretching and is pushing
her organs every which way, causing heartburn, constipation, indigestion,
and breathlessness. “Whoever humbles himself like a child is the greatest in
the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 18:5)
