The Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and remind you of all that I told you. Parish Office Hours Monday: 9AM-6PM (closed between 12:30-1:30PM) Tuesday thru Friday: 9AM-7PM Saturday: 10AM-2PM Sunday: Closed From the Pastor • Del Pastor Dear Friends, Queridos Amigos: If you were at St. Louise on the weekend of April 16 and 17, you will remember the great sense of celebration that was in the air when I announced that we saved nearly one million dollars by paying off our debt ten years early on St. Louise School and Faith Formation Center. Since then, some frequently asked questions that have come up: Q: What will we do with the one million dollars that we saved? A: We don’t have that money in the bank. That is money that we would have had to raise to pay off the interest that we saved by paying off the debt early. Q: Do I still need to use the pink envelopes for the building fund? A: Yes! The Strategic Plan (read it online at www.stlouise.org/ strategicplan) makes it clear that we need to move forward with the Master Plan for our parish campus. You will remember that the Strategic Plan came from the 2014 Parish survey and the input from our parish leadership groups. Q: Now that we paid off the debt, you probably don’t need those of us who haven’t completed our pledge for the building campaign, right? A: Nice try, but nope! If you can, everyone who completes their pledge will help us to move forward with the Master Plan. Q: What is next? A: There are still four classrooms on the second floor that need to be completed in the School and Faith Formation Center. The plan is to complete those classrooms in the summer of 2017. We estimate the completion of those classrooms to be around $800,000. Q: Where will that money come from? A: From the pink envelopes, completed pledges on the Capital Campaign, the annual Parish and School budget, perhaps from the “Fund-an-Item” at our School Auction, and from special donations. Q: When are we going to address the need for a new Parish Hall and Parish Center? A: In order to begin the construction of the new Fellowship Hall and Pastoral Center the four classrooms need to be completed so that the old school classrooms can be vacated. The old school will need to be torn down for construction. We expect that to happen about five years from now. Keep the questions coming! Thank you for your amazing support. Fr. Sigan haciendo preguntas! Gracias por su apoyo tan increíble.
