Ex: Syllables contain a vowel sound (concept applicable in both
languages). Actual separation of syllables in text
(application/rules) is different in each language. (Englishopen/closed syllables; Spanish- stressed syllable)
Day 5: Rhyme: Concept [T], Application [NT]
Ex: Rhyming words end in the same sound, but in Spanish you may
also rhyme based on the stressed syllable.
Blending phonemes/ words: the concept of blending sounds to
form words is a transferable skill. However, in Spanish (with the
exception of cvc words) words are blended in syllables.
