2015 REVISED COOPERATION NOT AFFILIATION PROPOSAL

2015 REVISED COOPERATION NOT AFFILIATION PROPOSAL:
Members of the former ad-hoc committee on Cooperation Not Affiliation that disbanded on April 13,
2014, and whose names are listed below, in no particular order, propose that the Area Assembly
consider revising the current written policy on announcements and flyers contained in the results of
the 2000 Area Inventory, which currently reads:
Question: Should social functions and other gatherings that are not sponsored by the Area or its
service entities or that are not part of the General Service Structure be announced at Assemblies or be
allowed to have displays, flyers, etc. at an Assembly?
Answer: The committee recommends that verbal announcements, flyers, or displays that are not of
the Area or the General Service Structure of AA not be permitted.
The proposed revision, that would be added to the Area Policies & Procedures Manual and
monitored by the SETA Area Alternate Chairperson, reads as follows:
1. Verbal announcements, flyers, or displays shall be allowed at all SETA Assemblies and
Conventions if the events are sponsored by any one or more of the following entities:
a. SETA Assembly sponsored events, including, SETA Conventions and SETA service
committees;
b. Events sponsored by SETA districts and/or groups;
c. General Service Structure of AA events sponsored by the General Service Board or
General Service Office of Alcoholics Anonymous, including General Service
Conferences, International Conventions, SWRAASA, Regional Forums, Special
Forums and other similar events;
d. Texas State Convention, including when held in cities outside of the SETA Area 67
Area; and
e. Intergroups/Central Offices events, such as workshops, sponsored by
Intergroups/Central Offices and their service committees located within the
boundaries of SETA Area 67.
2. If approved, this motion shall be added to the SETA Policies & Procedures Manual under the
section titled AREA ASSEMBLY MEETINGS and monitored by the SETA Alternate Area
Chairperson.

Miembros de la Comisión anterior ad-hoc de Cooperación no afiliación que disolvió en 13 de abril
de 2014, y cuyos nombres se enumeran sin ningún orden en particular, proponen que la Asamblea de
área considerar revisar la actual política por escrito en anuncios y folletos contenidos en los
resultados del 2000 área de inventario, que actualmente dice:
Pregunta: Deben funciones sociales y otras reuniones que no son patrocinados por el área o de sus
entidades de servicio o que no son parte de la estructura de servicio de generales anunciados en
asambleas o permitírsele tener exhibiciones, folletos, etc. en una Asamblea?
Respuesta: El Comité recomienda que muestra que no es de la zona o la estructura de servicios
generales de AA, volantes o anuncios verbales prohibido.
La revisión propuesta, que sería añadida al área de políticas y Manual de procedimientos y
supervisada por el Presidente Suplente de la zona SETA, reza como sigue:
1. Verbales anuncios, volantes o pantallas se admitirá en todas las Asambleas SETA y convenios
si los eventos son patrocinados por una o más de las siguientes entidades:
a. Eventos montaje SETA patrocinado, incluyendo, convenios SETA y SETA servicio
comités;
b. Eventos patrocinan por distritos SETA o grupos;
c. Estructura de servicios generales de eventos de AA patrocinado por el General de la
Junta de servicio o de la oficina de servicios generales de alcohólicos anónimos,
incluyendo conferencias de servicio de generales, convenios internacionales,
SWRAASA, foros regionales, foros especiales y otros eventos similares;
d. Convención Estatal de Texas, incluyendo cuando se llevó a cabo en las ciudades fuera
del área del área 67 SETA; y
e. Eventos Intergrupos/Oficinas centrales, tales como talleres, patrocinados por
Intergrupos/Oficinas centrales y sus comités de servicio ubicados dentro de los
límites del área SETA 67.
2. Si se aprueba, este movimiento se añade a las políticas de la SETA y Manual de
procedimientos bajo la sección titulada Reuniones de la Asamblea de área y supervisados por
el Presidente área suplente SETA.
