Independent study hours: 95 Key terms: Study of roles established by difference in gender in modern societies. Aims Specific: Be aware of the roles played by men and women in primitive societies. Be aware of the roles played by men and women in primitive societies. Be aware of the intrinsic biological factors of sexual roles in contemporary societies. Be aware of and analyse social, educational and cultural factors of said roles. Analyse how religion influences the perpetuation of sexual roles. Be aware of the role played by science in the justification of roles. Be aware of the role played by education in a shift of perspective in sexual roles. General: Be aware of and explain difficulties involved in inherent social transformation. Develop a critical vision of how transformation is brought about in contemporary societies. Analyse the motives and environment leading to a change in roles in contemporary societies. Analyse and interpret recommended reading rigorously. 1 Revise historical theories critically.
