As part of the continuing construction for the Metro Orange Line
Extension, the Contractor will be constructing the busway and bikeway
along the easterly side of Canoga Ave. from Nordhoff St. to Owensmouth
Ave. These activities require the reconfiguration of traffic lanes and the
placement of concrete barriers (k-rail) to isolate the work zone.
WHAT:
K-rail Installation and Traffic Reconfiguration
WHEN:
On Friday, April 29, 2011, traffic lanes in both directions on
Canoga will be reconfigured. The anticipated work hours for
this activity are from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. On Monday,
May 2, 2011 the k-rail will be installed along Canoga Ave.,
the anticipated work hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.,
weather permitting.
WHERE:
Along Canoga Ave. from Nordhoff St. to Owensmouth Ave.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
 “No Parking” signs will be posted on both sides of Canoga from
Nordhoff St. to Owensmouth Ave. by the Los Angeles Department
of Transportation; this area will permanently become a No Parking
Zone.
 K-rail will be placed along the easterly side of Canoga Ave from
Nordhoff St. to Owensmouth Ave.
 Pedestrians will be rerouted to a safe area outside the construction
zone.
 Local access to businesses and residents will be maintained at all
times.
 Fire Department and emergency vehicle access will be maintained
at all times.

Como parte de la construcción para la extensión de Metro Orange Line, el
contratista construirá el camino del autobús y bicicleta en el lado este de la
avenida Canoga entre la calle Nordhoff y la avenida Owensmouth. Esta
actividad requiere la reconfiguración de los carriles de tráfico y la

CUANDO:
El viernes, 29 de abril del 2011, los carriles de tráfico en
ambas direcciones en Canoga serán configurados. Las horas
de trabajo previstas para esta actividad son de 9:00 p.m. 6:00 a.m. El lunes, 2 de mayo del 2011 se instalarán barreras
de concreto a lo largo de la avenida Canoga. Las horas de
trabajo previstas son de 7:00 a.m. a 3:30 p.m., si el tiempo lo
permite.
DONDE:
A lo largo de la avenida Canoga entre la calle Nordhoff y la
avenida Owensmouth.
QUE ESPERAR:
 El Departamento de Transportación de la ciudad de Los Ángeles
instalará letreros de “No Estacionamiento” permitido en ambos
lados de la avenida Canoga. Esta área se convertirá en una zona
de no estacionamiento.
 Se colocara barreras de concreto en el lado este de la avenida
Canoga desde la calle Nordhoff hasta la avenida Owensmouth.
 Los peatones serán desviados a un lugar seguro fuera de la zona de
construcción.
 Se mantendrá acceso local a las empresas y residentes en todo
momento.
 Se mantendrá acceso para el departamento de bomberos y
vehículos de emergencia en todo momento.
