What we are studying:
English Language Arts: We have completed the PALS assessment and families will receive the results during the month of
November. We are learning to use our fingers to point to the words when we read and to find sight words in books we read.

Writer’s Workshop: Our authors are learning to…

Write stories about real things that have happened to them.
•
Stretch out words and write down the sounds they hear.
•
Use words from the word wall and in the environment.
•
Add details to their pictures, add to the words, and when to start a new story.
Social Studies: The children are learning about the past and present and the first Thanksgiving.
Health: Staying healthy means becoming active and making good food choices.
Spanish Language Arts: We are reviewing all the vowels. We are also learning about family and traditions.
Robust vocabulary in Spanish: casa, comida, pavo, calabaza, Día de Acción de Gracias.
We will keep reviewing words that begin with the letters Aa, Ee, Ii, Oo, Uu
