If student doesn’t turn in homework it will be sent home for the
second time. It will count as no homework = no credit
This is one of many school habits students will work constantly in
order to have a solid foundation

Daily Reading
• Every student will be responsible of Reading at
least 20 minutes Monday through Thursday /Cada
estudiante es responsable de leer 20 minutos
diarios de lunes a jueves
• If there are questions about what type of books to
read please let the teacher know/ Si tienen alguna
pregunta de los libros que hay que leer favor de
preguntar a la maestra
Why Reading? Porque leer?
• Statistics prove students that read will be more succesful in all
subjects /Las estadísticas comprueban que el estudiante que lee será
más exitoso en todas las materias
• Even in Math students will need reading comprhension for Word
Problems /Aún en matemáticas los estudiantes necesitan

• Religion class is given by Sister Leticia
• Students walk to her classroom to attend class
Spelling / Ortografía
• A list will be given out every Monday / Recibirán una lista de
palabras cada lunes.
• We will practice the words in content, in different assignments / Se
practican las palabras en diferentes actividades durante la semana.
• We will have a test every Friday / El examen será los viernes
P. E. Tuesdays and Thursdays teachers will plan PE lessons
Music : once a week Mr. Waters ( Tuesday or Wednesday
according to schedule)
Mass: every other Wednesday ( next Mass: 9/16)

• In case of an absence please make sure to ask for classwork and

• Work to take home
• Work at the classroom or special celebration
• For every 15 dlls. you spend for the classroom or
for a celebration you will get 1 service hour
