MAY 17, 2015 MASS SCHEDULE Saturday Vigil 5:00 PM Sunday 8:00 AM, 11:00 AM & 5:00 PM Daily Masses Monday, Thursday, Friday 8:30 AM Tuesday—6:30 PM with Confession from 5:30 PM until 6:20 PM Wednesday—12:15 PM Eucharistic Adoration following Mass with Divine Mercy Chaplet at 6:45 PM ending with Benediction at 7:00 PM Confessions Saturdays 3:30-4:30 PM or by appointment Mission Statement We are one body in Christ and individually parts of one another. Vision Statement To be a community that is nurtured through the Eucharist and empowered by the Holy Spirit to serve God and neighbor. The Liturgy of the Day a la Liturgia del Día Today marks the seventh and final week of our Great Sunday, the Easter season. We will listen to words from Jesus and Saint John about our mission and sharing God’s love. These are both rooted in the experience of the Resurrection that we celebrated on Easter Sunday. So perhaps our prayer today can be that we are able to extend that Easter joy from that Sunday to today, and on into the rest of our lives. Si no lo he hecho, ¿debería hacerlo? THE ASCENSION OF THE LORD WHAT’S HAPPENING MAY 17, 2015 Corpus Christi Celebrates the Sacrament of Confirmation This past Monday, May 11, 2015 Corpus Christi parish celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation with 49 candidates being Confirmed in the Holy Spirit. Bishop Robert E. Guglielmone was present to confer our Class of 2015 and he reminded students that each of us will face times in our life when we don’t feel qualified, ready or experienced enough to do what God has called us to do. He instructed the class to take courage, even in the face of criticism, and to go forth doing God’s work in the world in which we live. Father Ray & the Religious Education Office would like to thank the parents, guardians and sponsors who helped prepare the confirmandi.
