The impressive 90m mega yacht ARCTIC SUN concept represents a collaboration of the Swedish designer Dennis
Ingemansson with Pendennis shipyard UK and Rolls Royce naval engineering. Luxury motor yacht ARCTIC SUN concept
has been designed to be a fully equipped support vessel or multipurpose explorer yacht.

The exterior design of superyacht ARCTIC SUN concept has a focus on clean surfaces with a touch of
deconstructivism, often seen in modern architecture. It also offers green implementations in terms of 76,5 square
meters solar cell area on the roof. Additional wind-turbines can be installed.

In the aft part of ARCTIC SUN yacht concept full equipment for diving will be offered. It has a drive-in docking system
for limousine tender but also a platform for submarines. The vessel also provides a helicopter garage at EC155
standard. Additional touch-to-go platform is offered in the front.

Well, here is something amazing for yacht lovers to see. It is a Trimaran yacht concept named ‘Valkyrie’ that has been
conceived as a thesis project of Chulhun Park supported by Palmer Johnson at Royal College of Art London. It is not just
any other yacht design but a futuristic floating entertainment hub that mesmerizes you elegantly with stunning features.
The yacht offers swift speed accompanied by features like space-richness and absolute comfort at disposal. It is roughly
230 meters long floating beauty which has extreme stability that you can bet upon. Luxury inclusions of this yacht
comprises of bars, an exhibition hall, spa, casino, club, theater, and a restaurant. Honestly, a yacht owner cannot ask for
more on this huge floating architecture. It’s just like having your own private world on water. It challenges the usual
mono hull design and brings to limelight a Trimaran hull which lessens the drag while cruising at high speeds. The design
also promises a considerable increase of 25-30% in exterior and interior areas of the yacht. This is just a concept at this
point in time, but we are pretty sure that some filthy rich blokes , will commission it to expand their fleet.

GIGAYACHTS:
La exclusiva firma de arquitectura naval y diseño de yates “Laraki Yacht Design”, se complace en anunciar la reciente
inauguración de su nuevo estudio de diseño de yates, ubicado en California, Estados Unidos. Con motivo de este
evento, el diseñador y fundador del estudio Abdeslam Laraki, ha creado este impresionante mega yate de nueve
cubiertas y 163 metros (534 pies) de largos “Prelude”.
Con la esencia, así como el potencial de desafiar a cualquier otro diseño de yates, el superyate Preludio es una descripción
visual del nivel de creatividad y de estética que pueden esperar del nuevo estudio de diseños de yates “Laraki Yacht”.
Además de su aspecto original, el superyate Prelude da a su dueño y sus huéspedes la mejor experiencia que se pueda
tener, a bordo de uno de estos enormes mega yates.
Factibilidad, opulencia, distinción, originalidad, son las principales cuatro palabras que tenía en mente Abdeslam Laraki,
para guiarlo a través del proyecto durante su ideación, la investigación y la fases de creación del ultra-lujoso diseño del
yate.
Hacia la parte superior, en la octavo cubierta está “Aqua-módulo”, que consta de dos piscinas con toboganes. Las
piscinas se encuentra en la parte delantera, para ser disfrutadas por el propietario y sus invitados. Cerca de las piscinas
en la parte delantera, hay una área de comedor protegida por paredes de cristal cilíndricas por todo su alrededor.
En la parte superior del mega yate se encuentra el “Flying-módulo”: Que consiste en un lounge acristalado y cubierto,
situado en la parte delantera, mientras que a ambos lados del módulo, hay un bar, mesas de billar, cómoda área para
relajarse, áreas para jugar de cartas.
La séptimo cubierta, tanto en la parte delantera y trasera ofrece, un gran salón y área de entretenimiento, equipado con
tumbonas, secciones con grandes sofás, una fuente de agua, pantallas de televisión planas y bares. Todo con vistas al
océano.
El sexto piso está dedicado exclusivamente al propietario del mega yate, “Owner-módulo”. En la quinta cubierta, una
enorme superficie que ofrece numerosas áreas de socialización y entretenimiento, puede albergar grandes eventos y
recepciones en enormes salones.
La cuarta cubierta es donde se encuentran seis suites VIP de 160 metros cuadrados cada una. Tres en cada lado. Todos
ellas tienen 28 metros cuadrados de terraza privadas totalmente amuebladas, vista al mar del baño, cada una equipada
con una sauna individual, baño de vapor y equipos para hacer ejercicios en la comodidad. Está cubierta también cuenta
con varios restaurantes con grandes espacios abiertos.
En la parte trasera de la cubierta adelante, tenemos la zona dónde hay restaurantes y que lleva a un gran espacio abierto
equipado con lujosos muebles de forma redonda y comedores que pasa medida de la anchura del yate Prelude para una
vista panorámica sin obstáculos única.
Por último, aunque Laraki tomó riesgos proponiendo formas inusuales a través de su proyecto, espera haber logrado
mantener la integridad, proporción y equilibrio que un diseño bien pensado de un mega yate debe tener. El precio por
este enorme yate está calculado en los ciento de millones de dólares, sin contar personalización – es decir; el juguete
ideal para un billonario.

The striking 42.5m Trimaran Adastra was launched on the 11th of April 2012 in China - Hong Kong .
Adastra is the result of meticulous attention to detail and innovative design to create a yacht that meets the needs of a
very experienced ocean voyaging couple and their family, and to provide the level of comfort and style expected in a
yacht of this class and size. No effort has been spared in the challenge to produce a beautiful yacht that has exceptionally
low fuel consumption and yet provides excellent sea keeping qualities and luxurious accommodation.
Measurements taken during the sea trials show that her fuel consumption at 10.5 knots is as low as 17 litres per hour
when carrying 10% fuel and water. At cruising load (20 tonnes fuel and water) she uses just 25 litres per hour therefore on
delivery trips her range is 10,000 miles starting with 30,000 litres of fuel. Her slender hulls and streamlined exterior
allow her to travel faster in the open ocean and at 17 knots she has a 4,000 mile range so can comfortably cross both the
Atlantic and Pacific oceans at hi-speed.
Adastra takes the power trimaran concept further than has ever been attempted before, previous vessels like Earthrace
and Cable and Wireless were stripped out record breaking machines. The challenge of turning this concept into a viable
luxury yacht has led us to further research and develop new thinking on stability and comfort at sea for this type of craft.
Extensive tank testing and radio controlled model tests in waves have been carried out to analyse stability and
performance. Outrigger height has been optimised for ease of motion at sea, and a new outrigger shape has been
developed to increase stability in waves.
We have undertaken state of the art structural analysis of all the major components in the yacht in order to achieve the
light weight required for very low fuel consumption. The deck and superstructure is constructed from carbon fibre with
Nomex honeycomb core, the hull is glass/kevlar foam sandwich and the interior is light weight oak cabinetry using
honeycomb panels. To help reduce weight further, virtually every aspect of the boat is custom built. This includes carbon
fibre hatches, toilets, portlights and ladders, which are all built specifically for the vessel.
Aerodynamics and hydrodynamics above the water line were carefully considered as we developed the overall exterior
shape and we kept the boat streamlined both for air and water passing over the structure. The smooth seamless,
unbroken surfaces also help to reduce weight as the outer-skin forms part of the structure to absorb torsional loads.
Adastra's 16 metre beam creates a spacious saloon area on the main deck which offers superb views through a
panoramic window and accommodates a lounge area, dining table and navigation station. A forward facing door
through the saloon window gives easy access to a large sunbed on the foredeck. The aft deck has a sofa and bar area to
port and a dining area to starboard, further aft there is space for a 4.9 metre tender and directly below is a garage which
can store a 3.1 metre tender. The garage door has been designed to fold out and create a large dive platform. The main
helm station, which has seating for two, is positioned in a raised pilot house situated between the aft deck and the
saloon area and forms part of the cross beam structure. Extra space has been created below deck by slightly flaring the
central hull just above the waterline. This area has been split into two sections with a full-width master cabin located aft
with access from the deck saloon, and two further guest cabins, accommodation for the crew, and the galley located
forward of the engine compartment. Adastra offers comfortable accommodation for nine guests and up to six crew
members.
The anchoring system is unique with three anchors driven by carbon fibre drum winches run by hydraulics. The primary
anchor is a custom 130kg Bruce style anchor that deploys out of the starboard wing. The bow anchor is 80kg and deploys
out of the bow with a carbon fibre arm. The third anchor is 60kg which deploys out of the port wing and is used as a
stern anchor.
